Why You Want To Keep Your Balance In A Fight

You cannot do much to attack or defend yourself if you do not have body balance. While you are fighting, you have to keep your balance. If you stand firmly keeping your balance, it is difficult to break your balance.

Why You Want To Keep Your Balance In A Fight.jpg

You make your move to strike the attacker, you can make the attacker off balance. The attacker will be vulnerable and cannot use his power to strike you. If the attacker stands keeping both feet in a straight line, you push him and he might lose his body balance.

When you stand in a fight stance, your one leg is in the front and the other leg is back. You keep your balance on your both legs equally. In this position, the attacker cannot easily push you to make you off-balance. You can maintain your balance.

Be careful to do anything that makes you lose your balance. The attacker can exploit that and attack you. Don't lean forward when you strike. For example, you do elbow strikes. You need to be in close range to do elbow strikes and hit the target. You lean forward to hit with elbow strikes. That is not good.

While leaning forward to do elbow strikes, the attacker can break your balance. And you will not like what would happen next. Instead of leaning forward, you can just step forward to strike.

Body balance is a critical factor that you have to maintain in a fight. And you can break the attacker's balance as a defense. So what do you think? Please feel free to leave your comments below. Thank you for reading this post.

Stay safe. Always be happy!

Yeah, very true. Having the right stance and balance is very pivotal as it determines how well we fight or on the other hand exposes our vulnerability. Wouldn't want to get caught hanging in the air or body turned down to the ground. Thanks for emphasizing this with your post.

Ok, for one to maintain body balance, you must keep your legs firmly on the ground, and by doing that, one is not vulnerable to attack. Loosing balance in this kind of situation would give an attacker the upper hand.

As soon as you lose your balance, you are not in control. No matter how much strength someone has, he cannot use his strength at that time.

Thank you for this wonderful section of martial art skills. I always enjoy learning some actual facts from you.

Just wish I can get to meet you to be my martial art instructor.

Keeping balance is a fight is very important as that is the source of all attack or strike you will be throwing against your opponent.

When you do not have balance you tend to miss strikes and you're prone to falling down at any little step you took close to your opponent.
