La UEFA Champions League es una de esas competiciones deportivas que están repletas en mi opinión de una cantidad de magia y pasión sin precedentes.
Así como la pasión y las gratas e ingratas sorpresas esta competición está llena de hazañas increíbles; entre ellas jugadas, goles magníficos, récords de locura y por supuesto remontadas históricas de último momento.
En mi opinión pocas cosas son tan mágicas e increíbles como esto último, la UEFA Champions League tiene algunas de las remontadas en un último minuto más asombrosas, ese momento justo en que la fortuna, la fortuna, la esperanza y la alegría unos chocan contra la mala suerte y la desgracia de otros.
Por ello hoy quiero hablarte de tres remontadas históricas y casi increíbles de la UEFA Champions League.

Tenía muchas ganas de hacer un artículo relacionado a este tema, el futbol es un deporte lleno de magia y grandes momentos, no hablo precisamente de las jugadas, los regates o los goles; sino de la tensión, el sufrimiento y el ambiente que se vive en el campo sobre todo en los partidos importantes; es interesante, bonito y a la vez triste ver cómo la gente lucha con el corazón desde la grada cuando un equipo que veía un partido perdido le da vuelta al último minuto, cambiando así la historia que muchos creerían vivir.
Sé bien que remontadas históricas en muchas competiciones sobran pero la Champions como ya he dicho antes me parece una competición mágica, a veces algo fuera de este mundo, no soy particularmente fanático de ningún equipo pero cuando veo un partido donde los dos equipos luchan con todo lo que tienen que hasta incluso lo puedes sentir, viendo los rostros de los jugadores, los de las aficiones y el cuerpo técnico, puedes sentir ese ferviente deseo de ganar aun estando a kilómetros de distancia viendo todo en la comodidad de tu casa; es como transportarse a otra dimensión y cuando ese momento fulmínate para unos y esperanzador para otros llega, la mezcla de sensaciones es indescriptible. Sin más que decir, espero que esta lectura les guste porque aquí vamos.
I really wanted to do an article related to this topic, soccer is a sport full of magic and great moments, I am not talking about the plays, dribbles or goals; but about the tension, the suffering and the atmosphere that is lived on the field especially in the important matches; it is interesting, beautiful and at the same time sad to see how people fight with their hearts from the stands when a team that saw a lost match turns it around at the last minute, changing the history that many would believe to live.
I know well that historical comebacks in many competitions are not enough but the Champions League as I said before seems to me a magical competition, sometimes something out of this world, I am not particularly a fan of any team but when I see a match where the two teams fight with everything they have that you can even feel it, seeing the faces of the players, the fans and the coaching staff, you can feel that fervent desire to win even being miles away watching everything in the comfort of your home; It's like being transported to another dimension and when that moment arrives, the mixture of sensations is indescribable. Without more to say, I hope you like this reading because here we go.

Comenzaré hablando de este partido que como muchos que se disputan en la Champions estuvo plagado de polémicas.
Este partido lo recuerdo muy bien, creo que fue uno de los más tensos y emocionaste que vi, fue de los pocos partidos que vi en aquella era, si bien no era fanático del futbol, los partidos de Champions siempre llamaron poderosamente mi atención; sobre todo los que disputaban Madrid y Barcelona.
El ambiente que se respiraba en el cierre del encuentro era denso, y pesado la tensión que emanaba del estadio podía palparla yo mismo a kilómetros de distancia.
El partido se llevaría a cabo en Stamford Bridge; Chelsea y Barcelona buscaban su pase a la final del torneo, el partido de ida en el Camp Nou había quedado en un 0-0. Un partido done el Barcelona del famoso "Tiki-Taka" sufriría en gran medida.
Todo empeoró para los catalanes cuando Michael Essien (golazo cabe destacar) pondría a los azules de Inglaterra arriba en el marcador en el minuto 9 del primer tiempo, a pesar de las llegadas del Barcelona a la cancha rival todavía no encontraban su ritmo ideal en el encuentro.
Así pasaron los minutos de un partido repleto de faltas, polémicas y algunos errores arbitrales que harían de este un partido que daría muchísimo de que hablar luego y del que aun algunos hablan hasta el sol de hoy, las cosas se pusieron más difíciles para el Barcelona luego de la expulsión de Abidal. Todo parecía terminado para el club español.
El destino tiene una extraña manera de actuar, en el minuto 90 sobre el tiempo agregado ( que fueron +5 minutos) Leo Messi tomaría el balón en el área y en un rápido toque hacia la derecha encontraría a un solitario Andrés Iniesta a pocos metros del área que remataria un raudo y sin vacilar al arco y empatando en el encuentro (dándole la ventaja al Barsa por el gol de local) asegurando así la clasificación del FC Barcelona a la final del campeonato en un partido que quedará para la historia como uno de los más polémicos pero a su vez emocionantes.

Hablemos de otro partido que al igual que el anterior no estuvo exento de polémica, Madrid vs Madrid el año de la famosa Decima.
El Atlético de Madrid venía de una gran actuación en la competición de la mano de Simeone, la esperanza estaba fuerte en el conjunto colchonero y se hizo notar desde el primer minuto de juego.
El Real Madrid no se quedaba atrás y tenía un equipo extremadamente sólido, diría que de ensueño con un ataque sin igual en aquella época; Cristiano Ronaldo, Di María, Gareth Bale, en la defensa como siempre un líder nato como Sergio Ramos, Varane en la defensa, un todavía querido Iker Casillas en el arco.
Parecía un encuentro de leyenda, casi como la historia de David y Goliat; como ya había dicho antes el Atlético de Madrid le puso garra y entusiasmo, este partido también lo recuerdo y a pesar de no haber sido tan entretenido a nivel de jugadas no por ello fue menos emocionante, estuvo bastante cerrado.
En el minuto 36 del primer tiempo Godín abriría el marcador con un extraño gol de cabeza ayudado también por una salida errónea de Casillas. Así transcurrieron los minutos, minutos de tensión y alboroto paulatino, minutos donde la esperanza parecía estar cada vez más cerca de las manos de los Colchoneros.
Pero toda esperanza se perdería cuando un intrépido y bien colocado Sergio Ramos aparecería en el minuto 90 (+3) con gran gol de cabeza que llevaría el partido a la prorroga y despertaría los ánimos y la euforia de la hinchada blanca.
El alargue del encuentro no le hizo nada bien a un Atlético de Madrid que había dejado hasta la última gota en todo el encuentro y ahora le tocaba una lucha cuesta arriba, una lucha de resistencia en la que el Real Madrid llevaba la ventaja. En la prorroga el equipo blanco mostraría su supremacía con goles de Bale, Marcelo y por ultimo Cristiano Ronaldo de penalti para sellar el triunfo de los Blancos que se consagraron campeones de Champions League por décima vez en su historia.
Dando mi opinión personal me hubiera gustado que el Atlético de Madrid hubiera podido levantar aquella copa porque no solo este partido, sino que todos los jugaron con bastante garra y fuerza, lo dieron todo en la cancha, pero al final la fatiga pudo más y el Real Madrid no es un equipo que perdone. Sin embargo, así es el deporte, las victorias no se merecen, las victorias son victorias y deben hacerse. Un encuentro sin dudas difícil de olvidar.

¿Cómo podemos hablar de remontadas históricas sin hablar de este legendario partido?
A decir verdad, este partido yo no lo vi, no me gustaba el futbol en aquel momento y no formaba parte importante de mis pasatiempos, sin embargo, hablando con amigos más experimentados y apasionados en el tema de futbol me mencionaron este partido. De hecho, pude biuscar y ver el partido completo en internet para fijarme de que me había perdido todo este tiempo.
Investigando un poco pude ver que fue un partido que marcó pauta e hizo historia en la legendaria competición de Europa, así me dije a mí mismo "debo comentarlo sí o sí". Y es que puede que haya personas que como yo hace unos pocos días no tenían ni la menor idea de este encuentro o cuando menos la magnitud que tuvo.
Estuve leyendo artículos sobre el torneo disputado en aquel año de verdad que increíble leer los nombres de esa enorme cantidad de leyendas juntas en una sola competición y que muchos llegaron a compartir la cancha. Algo que seguramente no sorprendería demasiado a los mas acérrimos fanáticos de antaño, pero para mí era algo inconcebible de imaginar, viendo el partido me di cuenta de lo mucho que ha cambiado el deporte hasta estos años (en mi opinión).
Los encuentros tanto para Liverpool como para AC Milán fueron duros sin embargo allí estaban, frente a frente en la final de la Champions y la historia estaba a punto de escribirse.
El Milán llegaba a la final como el favorito del encuentro ante un renacido Liverpool que estaba dispuesto a luchar con todo lo que tenía. Me sorprendió ver la increíble plantilla de la que gozaba el AC Milán en aquel tiempo.
Comenzó el partido y la primera sacudida en la red no se hizo esperar demasiado, Milán no tardó en demostrar quién era el coloso del encuentro y antes de que el marcador pusiera el primer minuto en la pizarra el legendario Paolo Maldini marcaría el primer tanto para los de Italia. Esto sin duda fue un duro golpe para Liverpool a nivel anímico, ver como antes del primer minuto ya estaban abajo en el marcador.
La cosa no terminó allí pues caerías dos goles más de la mano del delantero argentino Hernand Crespo para sumar un 3-0 a favor del AC Milán y terminar de enterrar toda esperanza del Liverpool.
Contra todo pronóstico Liverpool no se daría por vencido y regresaron renovados tras el medio tiempo y en el minuto 54 Steven Gerrard traería esperanza a los rojos tras un gol de cabeza dos minutos después Smicer daría un sorpresivo disparo al arco italiano que dejaría el encuentro 3-2 y que haría soñar a Liverpool nuevamente.
No paso demasiado tiempo para que cayera el tercer gol tras una falta en el área cometida por Gatusso a Gerdard, Xabi Alonso sería el encargado de ejecutar el disparo que empataría el encuentro, posteriormente se alargaría a la prorroga y luego a penales.
La tanda de penales fue una sesión de nervios y tensión como nunca, aun habiendo pasado años del partido y a pesar de no haberlo visto en su tiempo yo podía sentir el drama y la tensión en ese estadio.
Dude, el portero de Liverpool se iluminó en aquel momento y fue clave para mantener a Liverpool en la tanda que estuvo igualada 3 a 3 hasta que le tocó enfrentar cara a cara al delantero Shevchenko el gran artillero del Milán y una de sus figuras. Dude logro tapar milagrosamente el penal asegurando la ansiada copa para el Liverpool.
Esta final se consideró como "La Final de las finales" una de esas que quedaron grabadas en la historia del deporte y de la competición, el Milán era el favorito del encuentro y por un momento parecía que lo tenía todo servido para ganar, sin embargo el Liverpool nunca bajo los brazos, nunca se rindió y su esfuerzo dio recompensa...
How can we talk about historic comebacks without talking about this legendary match?
To tell the truth, I didn't watch this match, I didn't like soccer at that time and it wasn't an important part of my hobbies, however, talking with more experienced and passionate friends about soccer they mentioned this match to me. In fact, I was able to search and watch the entire match on the internet to see what I had missed all this time.
After a little research I could see that it was a match that set the tone and made history in the legendary European competition, so I said to myself "I must comment on it yes or yes". And there may be people like me who a few days ago had no idea of this match or at least the magnitude it had.
I was reading articles about the tournament played in that year and it was really incredible to read the names of that huge number of legends together in a single competition and that many of them shared the court. Something that surely would not surprise the most diehard fans of yesteryear, but for me it was something inconceivable to imagine, watching the match I realized how much the sport has changed until these years (in my opinion).
The matches for both Liverpool and AC Milan were tough however there they were, face to face in the Champions League final and history was about to be written.
Milan were going into the final as the favorites in the match against a resurgent Liverpool who were ready to fight with everything they had. I was amazed to see what an incredible squad AC Milan had at the time.
The game kicked off and the first shock in the net was not long in coming, Milan soon showed who was the colossus of the match and before the scoreboard had even put the first minute on the board the legendary Paolo Maldini would score the first goal for the Italians. This was undoubtedly a hard blow for Liverpool on an emotional level, seeing how before the first minute they were already down on the scoreboard.
It didn't end there, however, as two more goals from Argentine striker Hernand Crespo made it 3-0 to AC Milan and put Liverpool's hopes to bed.
Against all odds Liverpool would not give up and came back refreshed after half time and in the 54th minute Steven Gerrard would bring hope to the Reds after a header two minutes later Smicer would hit a surprise shot into the Italian goal to make it 3-2 and make Liverpool dream again.
It didn't take long for the third goal to be scored after a foul in the box committed by Gatusso on Gerdard, Xabi Alonso would be in charge of the shot that would tie the game, which would later be extended to extra time and then penalties.
The penalty shootout was a session of nerves and tension like never before, even after years of the match and despite not having seen it at the time I could feel the drama and tension in that stadium.
Dude, Liverpool's goalkeeper shone at that moment and was key to keeping Liverpool in the shootout which was tied 3-3 until he came face to face with striker Shevchenko, Milan's great striker and one of their stars. Dude managed to miraculously save the penalty to secure the coveted cup for Liverpool.
This final was considered as "The Final of Finals" one of those that remained engraved in the history of sport and competition, Milan was the favorite of the match and for a moment it seemed that they had everything to win, however Liverpool never gave up, never gave up and their effort was rewarded...

Como dije antes, la UEFA Champions League es una competición mágica llena de momentos memorables y sin duda estos fueron algunos de ellos entre los muchos que marcaron la historia y los corazones de quienes los vivieron, tanto en la cancha, como en las tribunas o apretando el puño frente las pantallas de sus televisores.
