Chennai Super Kings vs Kings XI Punjab Match Review // Match 53
Chennai Super Kings won by 9 wickets against Kings XI Punjab. KXIP have been entertaining us after Chris Gayle came back. They just won one match of their first 7 matches but strongly came back and kept themselves alive but finally lost against CSK and failed to qualify the playoffs. CSK and KXIP both have 12 points but others 4 team have already got 14 points. By the way now i'm going to shortly review the match.
KXIP started batting first and scored total 153 runs by 6 wickets. Rahul failed to play a good innings just gone for 29 facing 27 balls. Agarwal started attacking innings of 26 runs in 15 balls but finally have gone. Gayle, Pooran also failed but Hooda hammered 62 runs off 30 balls including 3 fours and 4 sixes. Ngidi picked up 3 wickets.
In reply CSK openers Gaikwad and Du Plessis started very well with 82 runs partnership just in 9.5 overs that helped them to chase down easily. Finally Gaikwad and Rayudu finished the match remaining unbeaten. Gaikwad scored 62 runs off 49 balls and selected for man of the match. I will share KKR vs RR match report on my next post.
