Mumbai Indians vs Royal Challengers Bangalore Match Review // Match 48

Mumbai Indians win over Royel Challengers Bangalore has confirmed their place in playoffs. Yesterday they beat RCB by 5 wickets. Now they have 16 points and still have 2 matches remaining. They have no problem to qualify the playoffs for high run rate. While on the other hand RCB played 12 matches and got 14 points. So they have to win one match out of 2 matches remaining to confirm the playoffs. Now i'm going to shortly review the match.

MI won the toss and elected to bowl first. RCB openers Padikkal and Philippe have started well a good partnership of 71 runs just in 7.5 overs. Aftet losing Philippe wicket there was no good partnership. Kholi, De Villiers came out and gone early. Finally RCB set a target of 165 runs. Padikkal played a good innings of 74 runs off 45 balls including 12 fours and 1 six. Bumrah picked up 3 wickets for just 14 runs in four overs.

In reply MI have stated slowly. They lost their top orders De Kock in 37 runs, Ishan in 52 runs, Tiwary in 73 runs. However Yadav played an amazing innings of unbeaten 79 runs off 43 balls including 10 fours and 3 sixes and helped MI to chase down easily. Yadav was player of the match for his outstanding performance. Now another match between CSK vs KKR is ongoing. I will share this match report on my next post. Stay turned....
