Rajasthan Royals won by 8 wickets against Mumbai Indians. It was a great challenge for RR to chase down 196 runs against mighty Mumbai Indians. But Stokes and Samson have proved again their ability that they can destroy any strong team. RR improved their position at number 6 on the points table and they need to win all matches remaining to confirm the playoffs. While on the other hand MI still hold their position at the top of the points table. Now i'm going to shortly review the match.
MI scored total 195 runs by 5 wickets. Ishan, Tiwary, Yadav, Hardik played well especially Hardik played a super innings of 61 runs in 21 balls including 2 fours and 7 sixes. Archar and Gopal picked up 2 wickets each. It was such a big target for RR to chase down against MI strong bowling line.
In reply RR couldn't start well. They have lost Uthappa and Smith very early. But Samson came out and made a great partnership with Stokes. They finished the match just in 18.2 overs both remained unbeaten. Stokes hammered 107 runs in 60 balls including 14 fours and 3 sixes. Samson scored 54 runs in 31 balls. Stokes was man of the match.
