Labradford Smith "Legend"

Sport often feeds on legends.
One of the most memorable linked to Michael Jordan is the one that sees Labradford Smith as the unlucky protagonist.

March 1993

The then very young Smith found himself playing in front of His Airness in his Chicago.
In his 2 years in the NBA Labradford had not impressed him.
Yet that night he was the phenomenon, scoring 37 points.
In the press room Michael Jordan declared that, at the end of the game, the young Labradford had whispered to him:

"Nice Game Mike
Whoever knows MJ, who is watching that masterpiece of "The Last Dance", will know Jordan's competitiveness, competitive aggressiveness and determination.
Destiny wanted that game to be the first of a "Back to Back", and so the next night the confrontation was repeated, this time in Washington.
Scottie Pippen and his teammates declared that Jordan was injured by those 37 points of the unknown boy and that he had declared to Pippen himself that the next day, in Washington, he would report as many, but in the first half.
The Bulls went to Washington and they were ready to go.
Michael Jordan played with a ferocity and agonism never seen before.
He had everything going for him.
LaBradford annihilated.
For MJ, in the first half alone, 36 points.

For years he's been speculating on that phrase.
Only a few years ago MJ said that the phrase that became famous was, in fact, invented by Jordan himself to self-load.
A stimulus, invented, to be loaded to 1000 and take revenge on an innocent Labradford.
Never make his airness angry!

Nice Game Mike

Mai far arrabbiare his airness!
