RE: The life and times of Iron Mike Tyson 💪🥊

back in the 80's and early 90's everyone and I mean everyone, was a Tyson fan. It wasn't until he went completely bananas (and there are a lot of things to blame that on) that people lost interest.

I know that when his comeback was a bit of a letdown I was so upset about this... I never got to see any of his amazing early fights because my family didn't have cable and the internet didn't exist. I had to read about it in the papers the next day.

I was pretty lucky that two of my friends regularly bought the fights. They were Pay Per View here, so you had to have Sky Sports and then pay the extra £10/15/20.

So a few of us would stay over and stay up for the fights, they were on late at night here because of the time difference.

Tyson was very popular here, right up until he bit Holyfield's ear off, then the tide turned..

Yeah, it was kind of difficult to side with the guy when he went over to the dark side. Getting humbled by Lewis after he said "he was going to eat Lennox's kids" was pretty bad for Iron Mike as well. Lennox doesn't have kids.
