My opinion: the 5 changes per game, controversial post coronavirus decision

As we are seeing in the Bundesliga, FIFA did a law to make 5 changes during a 90 minute match. It will apply to all FIFA tournaments and it is studied to remain until 2021.

Bundesliga, the first league to apply this new rule.

The first date after the coronavirus stoppage it was seen that the most benefited were the teams with the least budget, while the almighty Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund did not need all these changes to win their respective matches.

Opinion of coaches in Spain.

In Spain that was controversial, Kike Setien first came out at a press conference saying that this would benefit for other teams, explaining that his team played the last minutes with more intensity, playing with the rival's fatigue and changing half of the rival team it would only harm them since they would not dominate the end of the matches.

In the opposite line, Bordalas, the coach of the super Getafe, said that Barcelona with the depth of the wardrobe it has, with starting players in any team, has the advantage since fresher players would enter to revolutionize the game.

My personal opinion.

I really think that for the rest of this season, that is a good initiative to make the matches more even, since as we know, the players have not had enough time to get in tune and tactically polish.

For the Champions League duels, as we saw in Germany, the players of the main European teams have kept their shape and volume, proof of this the match between Bayern Munich vs Borussia Dortmund (except for Haaland's injury at 70 minutes in that match).

Now, for the next season we will have to see what happens, at the moment we cannot rule out a second wave of the virus and we don't know if perhaps some teams are diminished by this.
