A hard-earned victory for City

Manchester City travelled to Greece to face Olympiacos at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium in an encounter to stand a chance of qualifying for the next round of the UEFA Champions League.

Manchester City are known for their beautiful display over the ball and how they like to keep most of the ball and dictate play.

Recently, that hasn't been working fine for them and the rate at which they convert their attack has dropped beyond imagination.

With the absence of Aguero, the attack of Manchester City has been a bit rusty despite the efforts of Gabriel Jesus.

Away at Olympiacos, Manchester City had to play dirty in order to get all maximum points with a 1 nil over Olympiacos.

The first half of this matchup was about City trying to get the best of Olympiacos which they did on the 36th minute through Foden who was assisted by Raheem Sterling.

City kept the lead till the end of the first half and came back stronger in the second half but failed to extend their lead until the final whistle.

Not a beautiful game for Manchester City but a necessary win to get all three points.
