Late drama at the Amex Stadium

Brighton welcomed EPL champions, Liverpool, to the Amex Stadium for a battle to see who will triumph and celebrate with all three points in their bag.

Brighton started well and were able to keep the ball away from Liverpool to dictate the play.

20 minutes into the first half, Brighton were awarded a penalty from the spot but wasn't converted by Maupay.

On the 34th minute, Liverpool took the lead through Salah but Liverpool's celebration was short-lived as the goal was ruled out by VAR, confirming that Salah was offside.

The first half ended in a barren draw and both sides had to walk down the tunnel without breaking the deadlock.

Into the second half, Liverpool came out strong and determined to take Brighton to the cleaners.

Fortunately, on the 60th minute, Jota worked his magic once more and got Liverpool the lead.
The matchup continued with Liverpool leading with a goal.

Brighton started throwing all they have at Liverpool but Liverpool's defence line was solid to take all hits until the last minute of the matchup when Liverpool carelessly gave out a penalty which was converted by Gross and the game ended 1-1.

Both teams settled for a draw and shared a point each.
