UNITED'S SO-CALLED GROUP OF DEATH.
When the draws for the 2020 UCL season was done in September and United found themselves pitted in the same group as last season's finalists PSG, semi-finalist's RB Leipzig and Turkish side Instanbul Basekshehir, it was tagged the group of death and many doubted Manchester United's chances of getting past that group to the next round. While some said they might just find themselves in the EUROPA league, others went as far as saying they will finish at the bottom of the group and eliminated from the tournament completely.
Fast forward a month and a few days after and United find themselves at the summit of the group with superior points and goals. They got what seemed like an impossible win against PSG in France and dealt ruthlessly with Naigelsmann Leipzig side with a 5-0 drubbing thanks to a hattrick from Rashford.
It has not just been the result but also the performance that has left lots of people in awe of what this Ole's side can really do when performing optimally.
With the groups weeping boys Basekshehir up next in back to back games for United, it is safe to say the team already has a foot in the next round of the competition and have made easy of what many referred to as a group of death and a mission impossible.
