Yannis Antitokumio, the MVP winner in the last two seasons, missed a free throw 0.4 seconds before the end to lose the Milwaukee Bucks (122-121) to the Boston Celtics in the NBA.

Mystery surrounded Antitokombo's position to stay with Bucks after the end of last season, but the Greek player decided to renew his contract for 5 seasons for $ 228 million in the biggest contract in the tournament's history.

Bucks finished the first quarter ahead (34-31), taking advantage of his strong start thanks to Antitokombo, Chris Middleton and Newcomer Groovy.

The Celtics rose in the last 5 minutes of the second quarter to end the first half with an advance (64-59), after a strong performance by Gailen Brown, who scored 15 points.

The Celtics, who lost to the Miami Heat in the Eastern Division final last season, continued their dominance in the third quarter to advance (101-84).

But Antitokombo scored 15 points in the first six minutes of the fourth quarter, leaving Bucks leveling (113-113).

The two teams exchanged progress before Holiday awarded Bucks the lead (120-119) 70 seconds before the end.

The Celtics appeared to have clinched the win with Jason Tatum's hat-trick by 0.4 seconds left, despite a strong defense from Antitokombo.

Bucks asked for a time-out and then asked for another time to change the game plan, and Antitokombo got two free throws after a mistake on Tristan Thompson.

The Greek player successfully took the first throw, but missed the second, leaving Pax, who scored the best record among all the teams in the tournament last season, lost.

Brown topped the Celtics scorers list with 33 points, followed by Titum with 30 points.

Antitokumbo was the most scored in the ranks of PAX, with 37 points, then Middleton and Holiday, with 27 and 25 points respectively.

Anthony Edwards, the first choice in the recruitment process for new players this season, began his career with the Minnesota Timberwolves by scoring 15 points in the 111-101 win over the Detroit Pistons.

Lamello Ball, the third choice, made a disappointing start with the Charlotte Hornets and failed to score a single point in the 121-114 loss to the Cavaliers.

The Toronto Raptors, the only team away from home due to Canadian government restrictions on travel to and from America, lost 113-99 to the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Raptors will play their matches this season in Tampa, Florida, instead of their usual home stadium in Toronto.

The Indiana Pacers won 121-107 over the New York Knicks and the Atlanta Hawks won 124-104 at the Chicago Bulls thanks to 37 points from Tri-Young.

The San Antonio Spurs 131-119 defeated the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Sacramento Kings needed extra time to win 124-122 at home the Denver Nuggets, who lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Division final last season.

Utah Jazz kicked off the season beautifully, defeating the Portland Trailblazers 120-100.
