Don't be fooled by some of the low aggregate scores in the last 3 games, the SCG is still a good batting wicket which makes the Sixers ability to limit sides scoring on it even more impressive. The Sixers have largely the same squad as last year so if the likes of Curran, Abbott and O'Keefe can find anywhere near the same stellar form this time around then visitors will struggle to post any massive scores.

As for the Scorchers, they are a bit of unknown quantity following a massive overhaul of the squad over the close season. The most successful franchise in the BBL's history will desperately want to get back to winning ways following their wooden spoon performance last year but this is going to be a tough assignment first up.

Last year's corresponding fixture saw both teams struggle in the powerplay before big mid-innings partnerships (124 between Hughes & Silk and 99 between Turner & Cartwright) steadied the respective ships. The Sixers have won their last 4 on home turf with the last 3 games seeing them strangling the opposition by bowling first and knocking off the runs with relative ease. If this game follows a similar pattern then don't expect it to be a very high scoring affair.
