Is this Atletico Madrid season?
Good day and welcome back to my sport update. Before I talk about the wonders Atletico Madrid are currently doing, I will love to talk about the English premier league and Liverpool fc as case study. Finally I will love to celebrate Jurgen Klopp for the win against Sheffield United. This win came at the time when it is needed.
As a Liverpool fc fan I sat down and was wondering why we haven't won any game ever since. This is really bad for a team who ought to be title defenders but things really changes for them this season as Manchester City already stole the show. We know when they do, you just can't get it back.
Just take a look at the second team following them, Manchester United. With twelve (12) point difference it will be hard catching up. This is why it is bad to allow Manchester city comes top, it will take a lot of hard work to knock them off that position. Before they got to the stage they are today, I told them they should never in any way allow Manchester city to come top, it will be hard to see them drop. My words is now a reality, they can't be defeated. This is purely their season.
What about Liverpool fc, Are they suppose to be tittle defenders this season? Well, things changed and now sorry to say, they are now struggling defenders. The reason I used such word is because as a champions, I expect them to defend their title and even though they are struggling, it should be like little point difference or occupying second, third or fourth position not sixth (6) position. But that not bad, I believe they can still turn back the hands of time.
Observing the log table, you will see that they are currently 2 point shy of the top 4 position. This is interesting and I believe they can make things work out but Chelsea fc might makes it difficult for them. The only remedy that they need right now is to keep winning. When it comes to the English premier league, this is a hard feat to scale pass through. For you to win matches consistently in the English premier league you have to prove to the world you worth it. It is really hard to come by luck.
Deviating back to what we have at hand I was surprised to see Atletico Madrid doing a very great job at the moment. To make it interesting, they have an outstanding match which will make things interesting and amazing for them. But come to think of it, how do they got to this stage that is what really amazes me. The rest team have played 25 matches while Atletico Madrid have played 24 matches with 58 point while Barcelona fc and Real Madrid are all occupying 53 point each. This shows that if Atletico Madrid wins their outstanding match, they will be 61 point.
With 61 point, it shows that they will be 9 point ahead. Joke apart, they need to win the outstanding match, this will give them a better edge over their rivals and this will pave a way for them to win the league. I am so happy for them and will be so happy for them if they win's the Spanish premier league. Despite the sales of their star player - Griezman, they are still doing wonders. This is why I really love consistency. This has really pushes them to where they are today.
One thing I love to see is winners of a league switching hands. Imagine Barcelona fc winning it all the time. This will makes the league worthless as people will take it for granted. The reason I don't like the Spanish league is because it seems the league is just for two team, it is either Real Madrid or Barcelona fc. But since it changes hands I am really happy. I will love to see Tico winning this year episode of the Spanish premier league, this is really interesting to note. I wish they can keep up with the pressure from Real Madrid and Barcelona fc. It will be amazing to celebrate with them this season.
