Uefa Euro 2020, which team did you see progressing to the Semi's?

I am at this stage happy with the competition because of some certain things that I am seeing. Finally we are through with the Round of 16 and into the Quarter final stage, to get to this stage we know how lots of drama fall into place. It was really a big drama because some team that were expected to win didn't. We all saw what happened with the unexpected happening.

In case you are still caught up in the other side this is the time to get yourself updated. From what we have at hand these are the only team that made it to this round, they include Switzerland, Spain, Belgium, Italy, England, Ukraine, Czech Republic and Denmark. These are the team that made it to the next round and I am going to be running a recap of the progress so far from what I have at hand right now.

After the various team get out of the group stage and get to the round of 16 the fixtures were as follows; Wales took on Denmark. I was expecting Wales to perform better because of the likes of Bales, A. Ramsey, B Davies etc. Although Denmark squad is also good as we have the likes of M. Braithewaite, T.Delaney,M. Damshgarr etc. With both team to take on each other I was expecting something awesome and it ended up like that. You have to see how it looks as if Denmark match against Wales is too much, it looks like the person that made the selection was just wicked as Denmark outplayed Wales 1000000%. I was just wondering what is happening not until the match ended 4 nil with Dolberg, Maehle and Braitewaite scoring the goals.

The Wales vs Denmark round of 16 match still stand as my best so far, the energy was lit and the performance was awesome. The next match we have in line was the Italy vs Austria. As usual I was expecting Italy to win and it happened like that. One thing is that Austria never made it look easy, they battle Italy till the last minute. Goals from Chiesa and Pessina won it for Italy as Kalajdzic scored in the 114th minute but it was not enough to help the Austria team.

Next in line was between Netherlands and Czech Republic. If you observe closely you will see that since this competition was created in the year 1960 Czech Republic have been doing amazing well. When I heard that they defeat Netherlands I wasn't surprised. I know they are a very good team and was expecting it to be a strong match for Netherlands. Goals for T.Holes and P. Schick seals it for Czech Republic. Belgium and Portugal was the next in line and with Cristiano Ronaldo and co presence alot were expecting Portugal to walk away with the much needed 3 point. As we have it, it was an interesting match but it was Belgium that walks away with the much needed 3 point after T.Hazard scored in the 42nd minute. That is how Cristiano Ronaldo and the entire Portugal team were sent parking out of the uefa Europe cup.

The next match present us with Croatia vs Spain. They both are good team but for some period of now Spain have been struggling to perform, it seems they are restructuring but I can't ascertain that right now because I have not followed them properly. So the floor is open as they takes on Croatia a very informed and good team. One thing I could have guessed about this match is that both side will score and it happened like that. Both side played their best as the match eventually enters the extra time before Spain was able to win it for Croatia. Congrat to Spain, it wasn't an easy battle.

France and Switzerland was another match that spark the plug, one thing that I love about the match was how dedicated and focus the Switzerland team is, they never for once bow down, they keep pressing up till they got the result they wanted through penalties. Everybody were tipping the France team to be the trophies favourite but that didn't happen as Switzerland dent that mindset in the penalty spot. England vs Germany is the last match that captured my mind , expectations were all on the German team to deliver and as we have it, it went the other way round. It seems this competition is all about surprises, England did the magic by putting up good performance against the German side and they got the result they need through Raheerm Sterling and Harry Kane goal.

With all these result we are now in the Quarter final and surprises is still being expected. We have Switzerland taking on Spain, Belgium vs Italy, Czech Republic vs Denmark and England vs Ukraine, which country do you think will get to the Semi final stage? Air your view by commenting.
