Nigeria’s Super Falcons achieved “Mission X” by clinching their 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title in dramatic fashion.

In the final against Morocco, the team staged a remarkable comeback after trailing 2-0, eventually securing a 3-2 victory at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat.

When Justine Madugu was appointed head coach in September last year, many doubted the decision since he lacked prior international head coach experience. However, the bold choice proved successful as Madugu’s faith in his players was rewarded with the continental crown.
