Ever since Jose Mourinno assumed the managerial position, there has been a lot of changes and improvements in the team, so if you attribute Tottenham's performance this season to Mourinho, I don't think you're far from the truth
Mourinho is undoubtedly a very good coach no matter the club he's coaching. He has shown that Tottenham really mean business this season. Some weeks ago, they were on top of the table before Liverpool actually overtook them. They've played 15 games, won 7, drew 5 and lost 3 games which currently puts them in the 7th position
With their current performance and consistency, they are going to end the season well but I can't guarantee that they are going to lift the title. Even if they do not lift the title at least they should be among the top four
Another reason why Tottenham is a contender this season is the fact that most of their players are coming to their prime, especially Son and Kane. These two players are very consistent as they share a new chemistry together since the start of the season
