Is It Really Happening?

Arsenal fans ! How does it feel to be the apple of God's eyes ??!! . Honestly it is actually a really good time to be an Arsenal fan right now . It seems anything the team touches at the moment automatically turns gold . To be candid , the feeling feels so surreal .

50 points accumulated so far from 19 games is such a tremendous feat you will agree . A golden era indeed for the Mikel Arteta tutored team . All or nothing spirit has obviously been imbibed into the heart of the boys by the young Spanish gaffer .

This concluded Epl weekend witnessed two big matches . Chelsea played Liverpool on Saturday while arch rivals , United and Arsenal locked horns at the Emirates stadium on Sunday . The Chelsea-Liverpool match was a boring one compared to the electrifying performance at the Emirates by both Arsenal and Manchester United.

• Manchester United I believe came to the Emirates with the hope and belief of ruining the Arsenal party . Lol!

Beating Arsenal to them wasn't far fetched as they did that at Old Trafford last year. Not withstanding the Erik Ten Haag tutored team had it somewhere at the back of their mind that this is a different, rejuvenated Arsenal team compared to the one they played in September.

As expected, man of the moment, Marcus Rashford rose to the occasion with a superb and audacious effort to get the Red devils ahead in the first half. One can't help but notice how he dispelled our very special Thomas Partey off the ball to wipe that fierce shot into the net . Ramsdale never saw it coming .

I didn't flinch one bit when the goal came in because I knew the momentum the Gunners had will yield something productive ultimately . Before I could say Jack Robinson , Xhaka delivered a searching cross finding Eddie Nketiah who of course knew the right thing to do . He of course made that cross by Xhaka an assist by nodding the ball into the net rendering De Gea helpless . 1 goal a piece going to the half time . "That's my team" I beckoned with relief and confidence.

In the second half I can categorically say Arsenal had the greater percentage of the ball in possession than United . The pressing got so intense , star boy Bukayo Saka provided us a screamer of goal . Talk about technicality and finesse , that describes his goal .

Amazing indeed! 2-1 it is .. The Red devils won't be giving up easy . The butcher, Martinez as United fans have nicknamed him came through with a killer header indeed to get the Red devils levelled back on via a cross. Gabriel tried to clear the ball with his head but the ball won't just bulge . 2-2 it is !

At this point I'm not gonna lie , I was a bit jittery. A draw for us will mean we will just be three points ahead of league champions City . Manchester City earlier already walloped Wolves 3-0 . Arsenal needed a win not a draw . A win will give us a 5 point lead with a game in hand .

All these thoughts running through mind till I saw Eddie Nketiah bundled the ball home with a flick. An offside or not , even VAR passed it as a goal. Elated is an understatement to how I felt after this point . Is it really happening ??

There are 38 epl games , so far the Gunners have played 19 games . What happens at the next half will really be an intriguing act to watch especially for the Gunners . All eyes on the Red North London team it obviously seems .

For me though I feel some players are tired . Ben White for example showed some signs of tiredness and loss of concentration in the match yesterday. It's quite understandable. This is why we the fans won't stop calling and yelling for squad depth . I feel the Trossard signing is a great one as he can come on for any of the boys at the flanks ; be it Saka or Martinelli .

I really just hope fatigue doesn't come in on the remaining course of this journey . The boys really need to give it their all at this point . Bottling the title will absolutely be a big blow considering the performance they've shown at the first half of the season . Give Us This Season O Lord.
