Do not forget about Copa America 2021. It will start tomorrow as Brazil plays against Venezuela!

The European Championship has finally started and it feels really great to be back again! It was supposed to be arranged in 2020 but was postponed due to COVID. But, Euro 2020 wasn't the only event that was postponed. The same happened to the Summer Olympics (known as Tokyo 2020). It will be arranged in 2021 as well. And the same happened with Copa America. But, Copa America has been even more messed with than both Euro 2020 and the Summer Olympics.

What's going on with Copa America?

Copa America was first supposed to be arranged in the homeland of my good man @josevas217, that is, in Colombia. But, due to the political lack of stability, the tournament was moved to Argentina. Now, that seemed to be a better decision, until they decided that they couldn't arrange the event because of Covid. And only a few weeks before the actual tournament, it was decided that it would be arranged in Brazil instead.

are you ready for copa america.png

And here we are, ready for Copa America to be arranged in Brazil for the second time in a row. The question is whether or not Brazil will win the tournament as well for the second time in a row?

Brazil will play the opening match against Venezuela on June 13th.

June 13th will be the opening day for Copa America. The final will be played on July 10th in Rio.

The opening match will be between Brazil and another country with lots of people active on Hive, Venezuela, for example, my good man @lupafilotaxia. To be honest, I know that people are playing football all around the world, but even if you would give me one million dollars, I don't think I would be able to say the name of any football player from Venezuela.

Based on my total lack of knowledge, I guess I keep Brazil as big favorites to win the opening match of the tournament. Not just because I haven't heard of any good players from Venezuela, but also because Brazil are the big favorites to win Copa America, just like many believe France will win the European Championship in football.

Now, I would love to hear some comments from my Venezuelan friends about their stars and which players to watch out for on the Venezuelan team?! Do they have any chance to give Brazil a fight for the three points in the match?

How and where to watch Copa America online?

There is a very easy guide showing how you can watch Copa America online at https://www.thevpnboss.com/a-step-by-step-guide-that-will-show-you-how-you-can-watch-copa-america-online/. There is, however, a slight problem. The opening match will be played at 23.00 local time in Hungary (Europe). That is actually quite bearable. But, the later matches will be a bigger challenge, as most of the remaining matches in Copa America will be played and start at 01.00 local time and 03.00 local time. I love football and I don't really mind being up late in the night, but when the kids are up in the morning (and also wake you up) at 06.00, then it isn't so cool to be up in the night anymore!

No matter what, I will for sure check out the highlights and stay up to date on the results! :)

Hello friend @unbiasedwriter
Thanks for the mention. In Colombia soccer is lived in a magical way, there is a great fan base as well as great players, however, the current political and social instability has made things complicated for the games to take place as usual, but there are great players here.
In Venezuela, unfortunately everything has been overshadowed for a long time, few good players have been able to leave that country, due to the political, economic and social situation that has been so gloomy for a long time.
Brazil, it is likely to be able to execute, although there are big demonstrations against the holding of these games. I hope it can be carried out, time will tell.
Happy weekend my friend.

Football in Colombia is special... I still remember the awesome Higuita and his magnificent save against England. But, I, unfortunately, remember Andres Escobar as well, who many believe was killed due to a mistake he made during the World Cup in 1994 (at least that is what I heard on the news following the murder).

The tournament has started and considering that Venezuela had 12 players in isolation, I consider the 3-0 loss against Brazil to be pretty decent. :)

And I guess I should congratulate @josevas217 considering that Colombia also started Copa America last night with a win against Ecuador! :) Hope you will keep it up like this in the upcoming games as well!

Hello friend @unbiasedwriter

The Covid-19 broke everything planned, in terms of soccer we broke the rhythm of preparation that each selection brought, good that things are beginning to order and taking its natural cause.

Regarding the opening game, where Venezuela has to face the host Brazil, despite the fact that our national team has grown in soccer and today we have quality players who play in Europe as Tomas Rincon (Torino Football Club - Serie A Italy) or for example Salomon Rondon our top scorer and who once played for the Spanish Malaga, for our nightmare a new bad news was released today, it turns out that 12 of our players tested positive for COVID-19.

What happened to our players in Amazonian lands reflects how difficult it will be for any country to comply with biosafety standards, the recent blow to our national team has convulsed the organization of the Copa America in Brazil.

Now, as a good lover of good soccer, I believe that we will still get an excellent result against the Brazilians.

Thanks friend @unbiasedwriter for sharing this nice soccer reading with us.
