France won 3-0 against Wales -> Might be the biggest favorites ahead of Euro 2020
The friendly matches ahead of Euro 2020 have started and yesterday there were quite a lot of interesting matches. Germany played 1-1 against Denmark, Netherlands played 2-2 against Scotland, while England won 1-0 against Austria. However, the most impressive result of the day was France winning 3-0 against Wales!
I just looked at some stats and noticed that even though England won against Austria, the opponents from the country of the Alps and Sound of Music had a ball possession of 55%. In other words, this wasn't a match controlled and run by England, one of the favorites to win Euro 2020. The number of shots on goal was also quite similar.
Germany had a bigger grip on their game against Denmark, with higher possession and more shots on goal, but no matter what, the match still ended with 1-1.
The most impressive match - France vs. Wales!
I know, France is the biggest favorite to win Euro 2020, and yesterday they showed us why. They ruled the game, they had more shots on goal, and they scored three times. Maybe you remember that I wrote an article 3 days ago asking which strikers Deschamps should use in Euro 2020? My guess was Coman, Mbappe, with either Griezmann or Benzema in the middle. I was almost correct, and I still might be, but in yesterday's match, he started with Benzema, Griezmann, and Mbappe!

Benzema started his "new" career by missing a penalty, but later both Mbappe and Griezmann scored goals, and when Mbappe left the field and gave his place to Dembele, he scored as well!
No matter what, winning 3-0 against Wales is a great result, and seeing that they even missed a penalty and that they have so many awesome strikers and a solid defense, a great keeper, and strong midfielders, I have a hard time seeing which teams will be capable of stopping France during Euro 2020.
Based on their match yesterday, I doubt that Germany will be capable of it. Tomorrow we will get a glimpse of Portugal as they will play against Spain, and also Hungary as they will play against Cyprus.

They definitely are the biggest favourites if you ask me. They have a good squad, great fast and dangerous wingers and of course, an ever dynamic center forward in the newly recalled Karim Benzema. Not to mention the talents they have waiting on the bench as well. They'll be facing tough competitors no doubt but I'll still be picking France as the most likely to emerge victorious this Euros. They are the world champions after all. Great post by the way
I have got to agree, they are the biggest favorites. So, I guess they should win. But, since it is a tournament, anything can happen - they only need one poor match during the knockout stage, and everything will be over. Or, if they start Euro 2020 win a loss against Germany, then they might get stressed and just get messy. But, I do agree that the team is just suprt strong!
France has been the best football team since 2016, they lost the UEFA Euro final in that year only due to bad luck. They won the World Cup in 2018 being the best team by far, and they are still the best 3 years later. Mbappe is even better than in 2018, they now have Benzema as well, Kante appears to be better too. Some players have probably decreased in their performance such as Griezmann but I don't see any team capable of defeating them. Griezmann + Benzema + Mbappe are going to be unstoppable, plus, they will have Dembele on the bench who is now much more mature and stable compared to his 2018 version.
Yeah, they should be unstoppable, and you didn't even mention my favorite Coman who is fast and super good with the ball as well. BEnzema didn't score against Wales, but he sure was active in the front of the attack line! This is gonna be awesome to watch :) Only one week until the start of Euro 2020!
That's right, Coman is another beast. I think they can score 3 goals against any team which is crazy.
