World Rank: #6
Star Players: Rodri, Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres

Spain are one of the favourites to win the World Cup and earned qualification after topping their group over Sweden. It will be the third World Cup following their 2010 tournament win but on the international stage they've seemingly fizzled out compared to some of the other big European nations.

Germany is the obvious big name they need to overcome in the group but Japan and Costa Rica can be dangerous on their day. A win over Germany would put everybody on notice that they're a real shot at winning it all.

Spain are finding some form with a win and draw over Czech Republic, and a win over Switzerland in June. You're almost certain to get quick tiki-taka football from Spain which will please many watchers. Is the current generation of Spanish stars good enough to win the World Cup?

World Cup Group: Group E - Spain, Costa Rica, Japan, Germany

Prediction: There's no shortage of talent within the Spain squad. There's a beautiful mix of old and new that will play tiki-taka football. There's Rodri and Thiago who are experienced midfielders. Aymeric Laporte, Cesar Azpilicueta, Marco Asensio and Dani Carvajal are experienced defenders with big game experience.

Teams will need to be weary of the dangers that Pedri, Ferran Torres and Ansu Fati posses and what better way for them to solidify a successful golden generation by going deep into the tournament.

You'd expect David De Gea to play in between the sticks. Jordi Alba is provides great experience on the left flank. Laporte, Llorente and Pau Torres will likely be playing infront of De Gea. The right flank will either be Azpilicueta or Carvajal. Although experienced, the Spanish could be exploited down either flank by a football generation of young and quick wingers.

Sergio Busquets and Rodri will provide excellent experience in the middle. So too can Koke and Thiago. Up front Spain will rely on Álvaro Morata for goals and he'll be flanked by Pablo Sarabia, Ferran Torres or Ansu Fati. Marco Asensio also provides some great competition for a Spanish forward line with many options.

The tiki-taka football will cause many teams trouble and Spain's progression will come down to how good Luis Enrique's picks are and team chemistry. Their ability to transform from 4-3-3 to 2-4-4 formations on offense will cause huge trouble for teams. If Spain can finish in the final-third of the pitch they'll be extremely dangerous.

Spain will make the semi finals, but it'll take a special effort to beat them.

Semi Finals.

I think the only fear Spain should be having is Germany. I'm pretty sure that they would give them tough time. Costa Rica may be trying but would not emerge where we have Spain and Germany.

I agree with you that Spain will reach the semi-final and in my opinion it will be their last World Cup stop.
