Calasancias Coruña comenzó la liga encajando una derrota este domingo, a las 12:00, en el pabellón barrio de las flores, ante el CVSayre, que debutaba, fuera de casa, en la segunda máxima categoría del voleibol español

El equipo coruñés aparentaba estar en mejor posición para llevarse la victoria, ya que contaba con 2 años de experiencia en la liga ante la novatez del equipo canario, y además estaba reforzado con la llegada de otros jugadores como el receptor Conor Walker, pero no fue suficiente para ganar el partido. Mientras que la situación del equipo canario era a priori desfavorable. A pesar del viaje en avión, la inexperiencia en la liga y la ausencia del libero titular, se hicieron con el control del partido en todo momento, destacando por su precisión en recepción, en la que tomó gran parte de responsabilidad el líbero Samuel Risk, y la contundencia en ataque de todo el equipo, que acabó con gran porcentaje de acierto. Haciéndose notar Alejandro Mena como máximo anotador del encuentro, con 15 puntos.

El primer set fue una toma de contacto entre ambos equipos, que se mantuvieron igualados hasta mitad de set, 12-16 abajo para los locales, cuando el Sayre estuvo más acertado y contundente en saque y ataque, consiguiendo así llevarse el set de inicio.
Ambos entrenadores apostaron por mantener la misma alineación en el segundo set. Este comenzó con los numerosos errores no forzados en ataque del Calasancias Coruña, lo que le dio una ventaja de 5 puntos al otro equipo nada más empezar el set, que prosiguió a un parcial de 7-16. El entrenador de los locales Luis Cuadrado optó por hacer cambios para intentar mejorar la situación, y a final de set consiguieron recortar puntos para acabar con un 19-25, con un Sayre relajado por el colchón de puntos que llevaban de la primera mitad del set, pero aún así superior. El segundo set ganado para el sayre.

En el tercer set el entrenador del equipo coruñés cambió la alineación, quitando al receptor y capitán Manuel Queiro del campo por Pablo Deus.

En este último set se pudo ver el mejor juego de ambos equipos, que llegaron de nuevo a un parcial ajustado de 14-16 para los visitantes, como en el primer set. Pero, de nuevo, el Calasancias no logró mantener su regularidad en el campo y perdió el último set y el partido con un 19-25.
La semana que viene, Calasancias Coruña tendrá una jornada de descanso que podrá aprovechar para entrenar al máximo y remontar esta derrota. Por otra parte, CV Sayre jugará contra Miajadas la próxima jornada para intentar llevarse otra victoria.

Calasancias Coruña started the league with a defeat this Sunday, at 12:00, in the pavilion "barrio de las flores", against CVSayre, who was making its debut, away from home, in the second highest category of Spanish volleyball

The team from A Coruña seemed to be in a better position to win, as they had 2 years of experience in the league against the novice Canarian team, and it was also reinforced by the arrival of other players such as the receiver Conor Walker, but it was not enough to win the match. While the situation of the Canarian team was a priori unfavorable. In spite of the airplane trip, the inexperience in the league and the absence of the starting libero, they took control of the match at all times, standing out for their precision in the reception, in which the libero Samuel Risk took a great part of the responsibility, and the forcefulness in the attack of the whole team, which ended up with a great percentage of success. Alejandro Mena was the top scorer of the match, with 15 points.

The first set was a contact between both teams, which remained even until the middle of the set, 12-16 down for the locals, when Sayre was more accurate and forceful in serve and attack, thus managing to take the starting set.
Both coaches bet on keeping the same lineup in the second set. This started with the numerous unforced errors in the attack by Calasancias Coruña, which gave a 5-point advantage to the other team at the beginning of the set, which continued to a 7-16 split. Local coach Luis Cuadrado opted to make changes to try and improve the situation, and at the end of the set they managed to cut points to finish with a 19-25, with a Sayre relaxed by the point mattress they had from the first half of the set, but still superior. The second set won for Sayre.

In the third set the coach of the team from A Coruña changed the line-up, removing receiver and captain Manuel Queiro from the field by Pablo Deus.

In this last set the best game of both teams could be seen, which again reached a tight 14-16 split for the visitors, as in the first set. But, again, the Calasancias failed to maintain their regularity on the field and lost the last set and the match with a 19-25.
Next week, Calasancias Coruña will have a rest day that they can use to train to the maximum and overcome this defeat. On the other hand, CV Sayre will play against Miajadas the next day to try to get another victory.
