NBA Playoffs: Houston Rockets Small Ball beats the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 1

Many have already cast doubts on the Houston Rockets against the Los Angeles Lakers, asking how would they win against towering 7 footers. They proved everybody wrong in today's game beating the Los Angeles Lakers 112-97. The Rockets average height is 6’6, proving that height doesn't matter. The Lakers meanwhile drop the opening game once again, after losing to the Portland Trail Blazers in their last series.

Houston was led by James Harden with 36 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists. Russell Westbrook added in 24 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists. Eric Gordon chimed in 23 points.

The Lakers were led by Anthony Davis with 25 points, and 14 rebounds, followed by LeBron James with 20 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists.

Houston outscored the Lakers 27-18 in the fourth quarter to capture game 1. The Lakers will be looking to tie the series in Game 2, this coming Monday, September 7, 2020.
