Blast from the past - ERC Rally Barum 2017

Hi, friends!

I wrote these days about possibility of adding Rally Barum to the WRC calendar and in the end it completely cancelled for this season because of coronavirus pandemic and lack of funds.

If there is no lack of funds, maybe it should be a possibility to held the rally in the first place.

So back to the past.
Barum Rally is Škoda dominating place because their factory in Zlin is the base city of rally so it is normally that their works drivers almost always win there.

Russian Lukyanuk was close to the victory in 2016 but lost it because of the technical problem on his Ford Fiesta R5.

Škoda's works driver Jan Kopecky is the guy with the most wins there but it was interesting to see ex-works Ford driver Roman Kresta who has his own private Škoda team these days behind a wheel of it after so many years.

Just to remind you the Kresta drove for Ford factory team in 2005 (paying drive by Czech Republic Government).
