Blast from the past - WRC Rally Cyprus 2006

Hi, friends!

Rally Cyprus was the toughest gravel event of whole World Rally Championship fifteen years ago. Marcus Gronholm once said that he drove whole special stages in 1st gear during the recce. That's how tough it was.

I drove some gravel special stages which looked more like arable land and I know how tough is that for the suspension.

Cars must be prepared to the maximum and there is no doubt about that.

In 2006 there were no more Peugeot, Mitsubishi, Škoda ot works Citroen. Only two factory teams were involved in the championship: Ford and Subaru while Kronos Racing was semi private team for Citroen.

I always liked Cyprus Rally because it was unique and only drivers with concentration 100% worth finished on the podium.
