Blast from the past - WRC Record Breakers

Hi, friends!

In rallying it is all about pushing forward to touch the limits, just like in any other form of motorsport.

Perfect example was Petter Solberg's beating a record on famous special stage Ouninpohja from Rally Finland where average speeds are even above 130km/h and FIA says that average speed on any special stage in the world can't be higher then 130km/h.

Solberg beat the record and that target was something to match for the following generations of WRC drivers.

I think that Ogier was the next one to beat it. Well, Solberg won WRC title only once and Ogier did it six times so far.

There are many other examples of record breaking in the WRC but you can watch it by yourslef because it is more interesting to see the real action.
