Hi, friends!

Italian super fast rally star Andrea Crugnola, who already had some successful European Rally Championship outings, won another rally in his career called Rally Internazionale del Casentino 2020 which is based around town Bibbiena.

It is one day tarmac event full with entry list full of top rally cars so it is ideal to go there as spectator if not as competitor.

Another great driver showed that can fight with top Italian guys and he comes from Slovenia with name Boštjan Avbelj.

Avbelj drove only five rallies but all five with top machinery of Škoda Fabia R5 rally car. He comes from circuit racing where he drove Renault Clio cup very successfully.

He finished 4th on his first rally outside Slovenia and I would say that this is a great result.

Winner Crugnola showed that Citroen C3 R5 is a winning machinery in the right hands and that's a big plus for a French manufacturer who retired from the top of the sport at the end of season 2019.

Looks like a pretty fab rally, there. Was that a Swift that I saw in the beginning? It's always great to see Citroens hooning around, just as a reminder of the good old days before they left the rally stage. Also, I see many a Clios there, too :-D

clio group N is very popular car these days. it's possible to build it for 10-15k€ with realyy good Sadev dogbox gearbox and driveshafts. engine should stay standard but gearbox and driveshafts must be Sadev for top results. suspension is the problem because you can put 4k€ in it but if you are not the top guy, what for... swift is a nice car with around 140bhp and it usually finishes rally and that's very important.

Ah, that's pretty interesting. I never thought much into the costs of getting into rallying! Suspension ought to be important, so I guess setting that up just right would be pretty important, indeed. If I'd ever go into rallying, a plucky car would be my weapon of choice... a Clio, Swift, or a 4WD hot hatch like yours :-D
