Evans tested with Toyota ahead of WRC Croatia Rally 2021

Today I saw a picture on the Facebook of my friends and drivers colleagues with rally legend Gwyndaf Evans who is also a father of current Toyota WRC star Elfyn Evans.

Hey, first rally to watch Gwyndaf was Network Q RAC Rally 1993 when he drove red Ford Escort Cosworth Group N rally car and I remember good that he had double rear puncture on the gravel of UK. But he was super quick. It was so good to see him with my friends on the photos!

These day it is his soon who is under the rally radar as Toyota WRC works driver.

Elfyn Evans won his first WRC rally with Ford Fiesta WRC in 2017, but what is the most important, it was the only win in the World Rally Championship for WRC car with DMACK tires. I bought DMACK set of tires right after that for my Suzuki Swift GTI rally car when I saw that quality. Yeah, before Seat, I drive Suzuki Swift GTI on our national rallies.

Last season Elfyn fought for the WRC title against Seb Ogier and lost this fight on the last rally of the season in Monza, when he went off on the snowy section of the mountains roads 40km from Milano.

This season he hopes for the best and if he can beat the competition, then he really deserves to be the World Rally Champion.

Watch the video from his test from the same road where I spectate Kalle Rovanpera a few days ago: Stari Golubovec - Lobor. It is really great tarmac road.

TOMORROW I SPECTATE SEVEN TIMES WRC CHAMP SEB OGIER ON HIS TEST!!! I must go to bed because I have to hit the road early!
