Kalle Rovanpera fastest at shakedown of WRC Rally Islas de Canarias 2025

Did you watch the live shakedown show on link I posted yesterday? It was really good with double World Rally champion Kalle Rovanpera topping the times after two runs on it.

Tarmac was never favorite surface of Finnish drivers but these days, if you want to win the crown, you really have to be fast on any surface.

But you must be awared of one thing - shakedown is not a real competition. Drivers and teams use it for fine tuning of the setup and to check if everything is OK with the car.

So two Toyota Yaris Rally1 car drivers - Kalle Rovanpera and Takamoto Katsuta topped the shakedown with Estonian Ott Tanak (season 2019 WRC champion, Hyundai) finished 3rd and current champion Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) in 4th place.

Real action starts tomorrow and that times count for the rally. Let the best win - as always...
