Ogier tested on gravel with Toyota ahead of WRC Rally Portugal 2021

Hi, friends!

Just a few weeks ago I was present at their test on tarmac surface ahead of Croatian WRC event and they are now on the other side of Europe testing for the next round of the World Rally Championship.

Seb Ogier is just so tough mentally and that is his biggest strength. He destroys his opponents mentally, that's what I learnt following him from 2008 onwards.

When I see raining Portugal test, I remind myself of the 2001 edition which was fully muddy because it was so heavy raining the whole event.

You know what happens when soft gravel comes in touch with rain - mad, and we are talking about big mud.

It is also so interesting to see that he was winning in Croatia on Sunday and today he already tested for a full day. They chose very fast gravel road but also rough to see how much cruel rock impacts the suspension can take.

They will probably change two more locations for the test because that was the story in Croatia, to try all the possible surface changes as it should be on the Portuguese event itself.

You can also see how high is the car with the gravel suspension and how much it works on the gravel. If car costs around 750 000€, suspension must be worth at least 60000 or 70000€. Man, what kind of a material they use to build that strong parts which can suffer all those impacts...

Enjoy the testing videos...
