Onboard rally video of the day - Katsuta with Toyota Yaris WRC at Monte Carlo Rallye 2021

I have to admit that I was suspicious about Japanese driver Takamoto Katsuta when I heard that he will get another year of WRC program with the works team.

But the truth is that this Japanese driver delivers beside being just a Toyota protegee and that's fine. Toyota is Japanese manufacturer and it is kinda normally that they want to have also Japanese driver in the World Rally Championship.

Takamoto Katsuta are his nickname called Taka did really fine at Arctic Rally Finland last weekend and that just proved how good and quick he is at the fast and flowing special stages because he won R5 class at Sweden two years ago. And that means something.

Anther good thing for this young driver is the fact that he has an ex-works Toyota driver Juho Hanninen as his mentor and that way he can progress even more.

The good thing is that he has Daniel Barritt at his co-driver's seat and that guy has a WRC win from the days when he sat with Elfyn Evans when he was driving for DMACK WRC team Ford Fiesta WRC. And just to remind you that DMACK was the tires company that went into the liquidation a few years ago. These days they are called Cooper Tyres.
