Onboard rally video of the day - Makinen with Mitsubishi at WRC Rally Finland

Current Toyota works WRC team boss Tommi Makinen ruled the world of rallying in the 2nd part of nineties with four WRC titles in the row, from 1996 to 1999 seasons.

That Mitsubishi Lancer group A was built almost only for him because any other driver who drove that car couldn't make any bigger result. But Makinen was winning everything and was always somewhere at the top.

Last season of group A at Mitsubishi was in 2001. That same year they introduced WRC version of Lancer but that car was awful.

This rally of Finland was one of the last rallies with better result for Makinen and Mitsubishi.

At the end of that season, when he saw that team is not going in the right direction, Makinen laft for Subaru.

After season 2003 he finished his rallying career.
