Onboard rally video of the day - Sainz sr with Citroen Xsara WRC at Rally Turkey

It is season 2005 and Carlos Sainz sr has officially finished his World Rally Championship career. Francois Duval from Belgium took his place in the works Citroen team but there were some problems.

And the problems were that Duval was crashing too much and not finishing the rallies. That's the main goal of every rally team and team bosses - to collect the points after each event the team has entered.

I must admit that I was kinda happy at that time when Duval started to drive for Citroen because he was the best young hop of 2004 and I wasn't surprised at all to see him with the best.

But it was probably stupid to sign on for only one year. Because after only one bad season he was without a works driver. Unfortunately that was his last full season drive. I can't believe when thinking about this.

Anyway, guys from Citroen called Carlos Sainz sr to come from retirement and help them because they were lacking some points. And he did.

Sainz sr was performing great on every kind of surface and how not to be fast on the slower terrain like in Turkey.

I must admit that I would like to drive that rally because it is more technical and I like technical gravel stages.
