Quick rally update: Tough weekend for us but we finished the rally

It was so hard four days behind me but what's we like - we like the competition in rallying. When I watch back, yesterday was a great day for me looking at the special stages times. And I thought that we were bad. We were 5th in one class and 4th in another.

Today we drive without sump guard (plate bellow the engine) because we destroyed our sumo guard yesterday and today's morning service was only 15 minutes long. My friend and mechanic Damir P told me to drive without it and to take care about the car.

And I dud, But the times were not good as I expected to be. The worst thing is that I thought we were flying on some special stages. It seems that we were not.

Psychologically it was tough to drive without sump guard but OK, we had to do it that way.

And guess what?!
After final special stage of the rally. we were driving to the ceremonial finish and on the road section, at one moment OIL sign started to blink. I stopped that moment at the bus station and saw that all the oil from the engine was leaked out, I thought I will retire from the rally after the final special stage, And that would be a shame.

I called Damir P and he came to the bus station which was maybe 5km from the service park.

He too tow rope and pulled us to the corner before ceremonial finish. It is something called a grey zone but at Dakar Rally you can see that very often.

So we had to push our car through the ceremonial finish and crowd applauded.

OK, we finished 8th in one class and 6zh in another. My emotions are really mixed at the moment and I need a few days to think about the whole thing. Thanks to my co-driver Mladen C and my friend and mechanic Damir P for all the hard work they done with me.
