Will You Run After The Attacker?
Because of excitement and overconfidence, you might do something that can put your life in danger. Avoiding a fight is the best thing you can do even if you know how to fight. In a fight, there is always at least someone who gets hurt.
As a defense, if you can run and get out of there, you can do so. But how about if the attacker runs away from you? Will you follow the attacker and run after him?
There are different motives behind any attack. So it is difficult to say what you should do. You have to decide at that moment. If the attacker is a thief, he runs away stealing something, you will not let him get away easily.
In case the attacker is not a thief and his intention is to hurt you, then what? During a fight, you see the attacker running away, so you run after him. It could be a trap. The attacker wants you to follow him so that he can trap you.
There can be multiple attackers. And you follow and run after the attacker, then you get attacked by all the attackers at once. It is difficult to deal with multiple attackers. Or, they can use any weapon to hurt you. There are endless possibilities.
So even if you run after the attacker, you have to keep in mind that a lot of things can happen. Confidence is good, but overconfidence can be very dangerous. Maybe you underestimate the attacker. You can be attacker and get hurt pretty badly because of that.
If you are not alone, there are other people, you can chase the attacker. It is difficult to define when you should do this and when you should not do that. Based on the situation, you have to make your move. What right is one situation, that can be wrong in another situation. So always observe the situation before making your move.
