Fire rain

Gaijin Entertainment announces the release of the "Rain of Fire" content update for the online military action game: War Thunder. It brings the famous European SEPECAT Jaguar supersonic attack aircraft, the latest versions of the Russian MBT T-72, the Italian heavy cruiser Zara and dozens of other carefully recreated military vehicles.

Fans of military history are getting the P-51C fighter jet that was used by the Tuskegee Airmen - the first African-American military airmen to serve in the U.S. Army Air Corps (a forerunner to the Air Force of USA), as well as "Razorback" versions of the legendary P-47 Thunderbolt fighter jet.

The SEPECAT Jaguar was a supersonic attack aircraft jointly developed by the United Kingdom and France in the 1960s. While raining fire on ground forces is its primary function, this machine is capable of defending itself against enemy fighters. The SEPECAT Jaguar is equipped with 30mm guns and can be equipped with guided air-to-air missiles, unguided air-to-ground rockets and bombs. It served primarily with France and Great Britain, standing out most notably in action during the Gulf War of the 1990s. Ecuador, Nigeria, and Oman also operated modified versions of the Jaguar, and India still operates the Jaguar to this day.

The Soviet ?-72 was the most widely produced tank in the second half of the 20th century. War Thunder players already use the older T-72A and T-72B version of this beast. The "Rain of Fire" Content Update brings later models: the T-72B (1989) and the T-72B3 that can be further upgraded to the T-72B3 UBH. New sights, armor, engine, and other modernized components make this tank a dangerous opponent for rival nations and their latest tanks.

While War Thunder is constantly adding new vehicles from the Cold War era and modern military vehicles, there is always something interesting for fans of WWII history.

The "Rain of Fire" content update brings the P-51C variant of the P-51 Mustang that was used by the Tuskegee Airmen, the first African American military airmen in the United States Armed Forces. They trained in Tuskegee, Alabama, and fought valiantly to free Italy and all of Europe from Nazism during World War II. The Tuskegee Airmen's plane had the distinctive "Red Tails" camouflage that is carefully recreated in War Thunder to recognize the plane and its history. There are also a couple of more interesting planes from the WWII era that American aviation fans have been wondering about for a long time. The US P-47D-22 RE and the British Thunderbolt Mk.I. They are the earlier models of the Thunderbolt. They differ from familiar later models with their signature "Razorback" design, the original design of the P-47 before the introduction of the bubble canopy with the D-25 variant.

Fans of naval battles should also check out the Italian heavy cruiser Zara. Protected by 150mm of armor along the belt and vital components, Zara is right now the most armored warship in War Thunder naval battles.
