Dalam lanjutan piala FA babak ke 6 Liverpol harus mengakui keunggulan Chelsea dengan skor telak 2:0. Dengan kekalahan tersebut Chelsea berhak maju kebabak 8 untuk menantang tim lainnya dan memuluskan jalan ke Semi final.
Akankah Chelsea merebut juara FA tahun ini, sebagaimana Manchester City telah mengamankan gelar CArabao Cup setelah membungkam Aston Villa 3 hari yang lalu
