Chelsea vs Bournemouth is next game as the Blues hope of retaining the fourth position hang in the air with both Manchester United and Tottenham breathing down their neck with three point and five points to others close to them. Chelsea have won seven of our last 12 away Premier League games (although none of the past three) which is a serious concern to the fan at the moment. Liverpool (37) and Man City (28) have more away points than the Blues this season (23). The most goals Chelsea have scored in the Premier League this season are all away goals with 60 per cent on the average. The 27 goals we’ve scored on the road is three more than we managed in the whole of the last campaign. The team has been doing well away with no doubt but the recent form is a concern. Chelsea have won 11 of our last 14 away Premier League games on the South Coast, losing just one game in the process – against Bournemouth in January 2019.
Chelsea have conceded 45 per cent of the shots on target we’ve faced in the Premier League this season (37/83), more than any other side. The team is raring to go after the painful defeat against Bayern Munich on Tuesday. Bouncing back is the only way to get the rhythm back to the winning ways.
