#EPL-ScoreChallenge #17 - Gameweek 10

This week I will be reviewing the Chelsea v Tottenham Hotspur, the game will be played on Sunday 29th November at 16:30BST @ Stamford Bridge.

The Battle at the Bridge

This top end table clash is going to be mouth watering and one that I am looking forward to. This game has several sub plots - Jose returning back to Chelsea managing another London club - not sure if the blue fans will ever forgive him for that. Both teams are shewing tremendous form in the opening 9 games of the campaign, 6W 2D 1L.

Chelsea addressed their major goalkeeping issue from last season, by signing French goalkeeper Edouard Mendy. Chelsea conceded 10 goals so far in the Premier League, which makes them second to Spurs, conceding ONLY 9 goals. Same time last season, Chelsea conceded 15 goals and only kept 2 clean-sheets.

Spurs are in hot form at the moment since their opening day defeat to Everton, since then they swept away both Manchester clubs, their noticeable victories. Victory over City last game week showed that they are a club to watch out for with big ambitions - fighting for the title or looking for a top 4 finish.

Spurs go to this game-week at the Bridge on top of the Premier League table, 2 points ahead of their host, Chelsea sitting on 3rd position. The Bridge haven't been a great hunting ground for Spurs, as they ONLY won once in 34 attempts away to Chelsea (D11 L22) and that was back in 2018. In recent times Chelsea have won their last 3 Premier League games against Spurs.

Last time those 2 teams played was at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League, Chelsea defeated Spurs 2 goals to 1. Chelsea scored all 3 goals; O. Giroud 15', M.Alonso 48' and own goal by Rudiger 89'.

The match highlights;

This time around the stats might not work in favor to Chelsea as Jose loves to thump his previous clubs at their own turf; he took pride when Spurs annihilated Manchester United at Old Trafford in game week 4.
