Darts-WM: Sport oder kollektives Komasaufen mit Pfeile Werfen?
Darts Hype geht mir auf den Sack!
Ich muss es mal loswerden, denn ich kann die Schlagzeilen zur Darts-WM 2025 (und die Jahre davor speziell bei Sport1 nicht mehr sehen. Überall wird von "Spitzenleistungen", "Nervenkrimi" und "Athleten" geschrieben. Aber mal ehrlich Leute: Seit wann ist Darts bitte ein Sport? Jewtzt mal ehrlich, da sehe ich sogar eher Schach als Sport an, obwohl selbst dies für mich schwer fällt (ähnlich wie Poker und Mikado) - sorry @jaki01 @stayoutoftherz
Zurück zu Darts - Ich schalte den Fernseher ein und sehe (dicke) Männer in Poloshirts, die sich im "Ally Pally" (allein der Name!) feiern lassen, während im Hintergrund Tausende grölende Fans in absurden Kostümen mehr Bier vernichten als ein durchschnittliches Oktoberfest-Zelt.
Wo ist die körperliche Anstrengung?
Wenn ich im Stehen einen 20 Gramm schweren Pfeil über drei Meter werfe, habe ich danach vielleicht einen leichten Muskelkater im Handgelenk, aber ich bin doch kein Athlet. Sport bedeutet Schweiß, Ausdauer, Grenzbelastung. Bei der Darts-WM sehe ich Leute, deren größte körperliche Herausforderung der Weg vom Board zum Biertresen zu sein scheint.
Ich verstehe den Hype einfach nicht. Hier sind drei Dinge, die spannender, anstrengender und sportlicher sind als Darts:
Rhythmische Sportgymnastik: Da bewegen sich Menschen wenigstens in Winkeln, die physikalisch unmöglich erscheinen.
Schach: Ja, selbst Schach! Da bewegt man zwar nur Holzfiguren, aber die mentale Anstrengung verbrennt wahrscheinlich mehr Kalorien als ein ganzer Abend "Onehundred-and-eighty!"-Gebrüll.
Kloschüssel-Weitwerfen: Hat wahrscheinlich eine höhere aerobe Belastung und definitiv mehr "Impact" und Königshäuser aka Kronprinzen haben dies zumindest mal ausgeübt / gespielt :-):
Ist es nur eine Kneipen-Tradition mit gutem Marketing?
Versteht mich nicht falsch: Als Geschicklichkeitsspiel in der Kneipe? Super. Werfe auch gerne ab und an die Pfeile, aber Sport hmmm. Als Vorwand, um sich mit 3.000 Leuten zu betrinken? Meinetwegen. Aber verkauft uns das doch nicht als den "Sport-Höhepunkt des Jahres".
Es fühlt sich an, als hätte man ein Kneipen-Hobby durch exzessives Marketing und eine Prise "Event-Kultur" so lange aufgepumpt, bis die Leute tatsächlich glauben, sie sähen dort Hochleistungssportler.
Jetzt mal Butter bei die Fische: Bin ich der einzige, der diesen Hype völlig lächerlich findet? Oder gibt es hier im Hive-Corner ernsthaft jemanden, der mir erklären kann, warum das Werfen von spitzen Stöckchen auf Kork denselben Status verdient wie ein Marathon oder ein Fußball Bezirksliga Spiel?
Was ist für euch die Grenze? Wann hört ein Spiel auf und wann fängt Sport an?
Sehe ich genauso. Darts ist komplett uninteressant, aber sehr beliebt in der Unterschicht. War unlängst in einer Kneipe (bei uns sagt man Beisl) von echt unterirdischem Niveau, und dort wurde auch Darts gespielt.
Ja - als Kind hatte ich auch eine Dartscheibe zuhause, also was richtiges nicht so einen Teufelsautomat, in Kneipen früher auch ab und an mal gespielt, aber Sport, never

Ein Dartslover 🤠 und somit laut @stayoutoftherz ein Unterschichtler .... Trotz Akademischen Titels!
Ausnahmen bestätigen bekanntlich die Regel 😄
Naja, ich sehe das ein bisschen zwei geteilt, wir schauen seit Jahren auch regelmäßig die Darts WM im TV. Und meistens spiele ich parallel dazu im Flur selber.
Hochleistungssport ist es definitiv nicht. Es ist ein beliebter Kneipen Sport, der es ins TV geschafft hat. Und es ist ja mehr ein Event. Weil wenn du da im Saal sitzt, siehst du ja eh nur was auf den Monitoren.
Aber es ist definitiv ein Präzisionssport wie Luftpistole schießen oder andere Dinge und Schießen ist sogar olympisch.
Und was @stayoutoftherz sagt, mit dem Publikum, was dazu schaut und betrachtet. Das ist heute sicherlich auch nicht mehr so pauschal zu sagen. Ich bin ja in verschiedenen Sportarten wie Golf und American Football unterwegs. Und natürlich hast du dort jeweils ein anderes, sagen wir mal Niveau, aber auch beim Fußball sitzen Geschäftsführer auf den Tribünen und nicht nur die letzten Proleten und so wird es mittlerweile in allen Sportarten sein, dass es aus allen Gesellschaftsschichten Leute gibt, die sich dafür interessieren.
Mag sein, aber letztlich ist Sport Opium fürs Volk, wie schon damals die Spiele in der Arena für die Römer. Ablenkung von den unangenehmen Dingen.
Anschauen kann ich mir das gar nicht, selbst spielen schon eher, aber da ist Golf und Football schon eher Sport.
Vergleich Lufpistole ja kapiert, aber dort wird nicht gesoffen (zumindest nicht offensichtlich und selten im Publikum). Das Gegröhle ist schlimmer als beim Fussball in der Regionalliga

einen kleinen Ball mit einem Schläger zu schlagen, was geschick braucht aber keine Kondition!!
Da man ja mit dem Buggy auf dem Rasen herumfährt!
Da ich aber sehr Weltoffen bin, akzeptiere ich Golf als Sport, so wie Darts auch!
Wer sagt was von Kondition? Präzision wichtig auf 200/300 Ziel zu treffen, nicht wie beim Dart wo ich auch besoffen umfallen kann und die Scheibe treffen kann - bei Golf brauchst auch gewisse Kraft, die du trainieren musst.
Ich persönlich kann Darts auch nichts abgewinnen, aber jedem das Seine.
Bezüglich Schach kann das jeder sehen, wie er will. Turnierschach erfordert eine hohe Konzentration und Aufmerksamkeit über einen relativ langen Zeitraum hinweg. Atemfrequenz, Blutdruck und Muskelkontraktionen nehmen während einer Schachpartie zu, und auch der Energieverbrauch ist leicht erhöht. Anders als bei typischen Sportarten bewegen sich die Akteure jedoch kaum. Für mich ist Schach einfach Schach, egal ob Sport oder nicht.
Ich selbst schätze an dem Spiel mittlerweile eher die 'wissenschaftlich-ästhetischen' Aspekte, die zum Beispiel bei der Komposition eines Schachproblems zur Geltung kommen als die mir teilweise etwas stupide erscheinende Internet-Zockerei (richtiges Turnierschach mit etwas mehr Zeit pro Partie habe ich schon lange nicht mehr gespielt), wo es vor allem darum geht, sich die Zeit gut einzuteilen, nicht in billige Fallen zu tappen und in der entscheidenden Zeitnotphase die Nerven zu bewahren, aber das ist - wie fast alles - natürlich Geschmackssache.
Stimme zu - ich kann nur die Regeln aber verliere selbst gegen meine Tochter :-)

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
Everyone already knows I only post my own original content I have no need to steal anything from anyone

Als ich nach einigen Jahren in London meine Sachen zusammenpackte, konnte ich folgendes Fazit ziehen: Während all der Jahre fanden nie Pfeile den Weg in meine, um sie gleich darauf wieder auf eine Scheibe zu werfen. Es hatte mich einfach nie interessiert. Genauso wenig wohnte ich einem Cricketspiel bei, weil mir das sinnfreie Geklopfe mit einem Holzschläger nie jemand erklären konnte. Dafür zog es mich in die Squash-Hallen, um mir dort beide Außenmenisken zu ruinieren. Danach stellt sich dann die Frage, ob man nicht doch besser zu den Pfeilen gegriffen hätte. Alkoholentzug ist garantiert weniger schmerzhaft als lädierte Knie. 😊😎
Die indische Baseball Variante oder Vorläufer ist auch so ne Sache lol

Was spricht dagegen das sich Menschen wieder in real zum Darten treffen!??
Viele sind in der Social und digitalen Welt gefangen und dennoch EINSAM zuhause!
Wenn dir auf Google oder anderen Suchmaschine immer wieder Darts angezeigt wird,
liegt daran das du selber aktiv dannach gesucht hast, und es dauert dann Zeit bis der Algorythmus wieder auf was anderes umstellt! Aber das weisst du ja wahrscheinlich am besten!
Mir fehlen die Worte welche Kommentare hier gefallen sind, die eigentlich für freie offene Welt stehen!

Selber spielen ist ja ok, ist Kneipenbeschäftigung, aber kein Sort (für mich) - und was Algo angeht:
Es wird mir nirgends angezeigt nur auf sport1 wenn ich nach Sport News suche istmir der Darts Quatsch zu prominent, abewr hab verstanden du siehst es anders - alles gut - unterscheidliche Meinungen eben. Für mich ist Sport eben primär wo körperliches Traning die Basis sind, ohne die es nicht geht, e.g. Radfahren, Turnen, Leichtathletik, Wintersport Alpin / Nordisch - selbst Fussball/Handball/Basketball - aber Dart brauch kein Training in der Jugend was Ausdauer, Muskelaufbau etc angeht - Konzentrationsfähigkeit ok, aber da rauch ich nicht jahrelang für 7 Tage die Woche jeweil 4h. trainieren.
Ich habe früher selber Darts gespielt. In der Liga und auch auf kleinen Turnieren. Es ist wie bei vielen Sportarten auch, wenn man diese selber spielt, dann schaut man sich auch Turniere auf höchstem Niveau an. Beim Darts wird dabei nur mehr Party gemacht und viel getrunken (beim Fußball aber mitunter auch).
Sport ist es in meinen Augen genausoviel wie Schach, angeln, golfen, etc.
Gründe, warum Darts als Sport gilt:
Motorische Fähigkeiten & Technik: Erfolgreiches Darts erfordert eine feine Hand-Augen-Koordination, Muskelgedächtnis und eine kontrollierte Wurftechnik, die durch jahrelanges Training perfektioniert wird.
Mentale Stärke & Konzentration: Spieler müssen unter extremem Druck hochkonzentriert bleiben, Fehler verarbeiten und strategisch denken – ähnlich wie in Sportarten wie Golf oder Billard.
Struktur & Organisation: Es gibt professionelle Ligen, Verbände (wie den DOSB), feste Regeln, Schiedsrichter (Caller) und Weltmeisterschaften, die den Sport organisieren.
Wettkampf & Leistung: Wie bei jedem Sport geht es darum, besser zu sein als der Gegner, indem man Punkte erzielt, Legs gewinnt und Turniere bestreitet.
Regeln & Fairness: Präzise Vorgaben für Entfernung, Höhe und sogar Zeit pro Wurf gewährleisten Chancengleichheit und Fairplay, betont durch einen Schiedsrichter (den Caller).
Anerkennung: Organisationen wie der DOSB haben Darts offiziell als Sportart anerkannt, da es die Kriterien einer sportlichen Betätigung erfüllt.
Zusammenfassend ist Darts eine Geschicklichkeits- und Präzisionssportart, die neben geistiger auch eine körperliche Komponente hat und fest in einer professionellen Sportwelt verankert ist.
hmm, vielee Punkte gelten für jeden Job (Wettbewerb, bessser sein (mentale Stärke/Konzentration, Wettkampf/Leistung) - motorische Fähigkeiten und Muskelgedächtnis kann ich auch jemandem zuschreiben, der Näher ist oder in der Fabrik wiederkehrende manuelle Tätigkeiten ausübt, anerkennung durch Verbände irrelevant, weil das ist wie Politik - aber danke Dir - für mich ist es trotzdem kein Sport :-)
