We see different things in the name of self defense like hitting someone without touching. It looks cool, but do you think it really works for self defense?

Welcome back to Self Defense Situation - Part 74. In this series of posts, we usually talk about different situations and what you can do to defend yourself and get back home safe.

If we talk about self defense that is fake or does not work in real life, we can talk about a lot of things. Some people do things that is just for the show. There is no practical explanation behind it. We see awesome things in movies, we know that does not exist in real life.

But when someone shows and demonstrates that, is it just acting? Let's watch this video. This is not my video and all video credit goes to Fight SCIENCE.

If you talk about attacking pressure points, there are certain parts of the body where you can hit and it is painful. You need to learn and practice. When your instructor teaches you how to punch and kick, he or she also tells you where to hit. You do not just hit anywhere, you strike certain parts of the body. That is the target when you make your move and strike.

Doing something without touching and knocking someone out, does it work? Some people are just taking advantage of it and saying things that is just imagination. You can watch the above video. And I agree with him.

In a fight for self defense, you have to strike and move. You need to practice how to strike and where to strike. Then you can do it and that works for self defense.

What do you think about that? Please feel free to share your thoughts and experience. Thank you so much for reading this post.
