How To Defend Yourself When Your Head Is Pulled Down

When you fight for self defense in real life, it is not clean and cool. Sometimes you face something that you have not thought of before. When you are in a close range, the attacker can strike in different ways. Not only that, he can grab you and strike.

If the attacker grabs and pulls your head down, that is a very dangerous situation and you do not want to be in the position. When your head is down, you cannot see what's going on above. He can attack you and hurt you pretty bad.

If your head has already down, you can still grab and make your move. But it is always better not to get in that position. So what can you do to prevent the attack so that you cannot pull your head down?

It is important to know how to keep your body balance in a fight. You should stand straight. As long as you stand straight, he will find it very difficult to pull your head down because you are keeping your balance.

If the attacker forces and puts pressure to pull your head down, you can turn to the side. Here you just redirect his force and energy, you are not working against it. You can attack him or grab his elbow and turn. Now you can put him in a vulnerable position.

The attacker has two hands, hope he is not an alien or something. So as soon as he puts one hand on the back of your head to pull, he has another hand free to attack you. What you can do is to pull your head and hit you with another hand. To stop him from striking you, you can grab his hand or just be aware of this. In case he strikes you, you can defend that.

If you are just aware of what the attacker might do, it is easy for you to defend that. I highly recommend watching this video. Hope you will find it useful.
