If there are other people around you or you have a chance to call the police, you can do that. Unfortunately, there are situations you cannot run away. You run and they also run maybe there are multiple attackers and catch you.

If the attacker strikes, you just defend that. Sometimes that might not stop him from attacking again. He will keep attacking you. Eventually, you will get hit. So what should you learn to defend yourself?

Well, there is not one thing or magic formula for that. I share different things about self defense and martial and it focuses on one thing, that is, self defense.

To defend yourself, you need to learn how to hurt someone. That's why you are learning how to punch, kick, do elbow strike, knee charge, hammer fist, palm strike, chop and so on.

Learn and practice the basics. You will find it very useful in a fight for self defense. You can use a punching bag or kick bag to practice. Sparring with your training partner is effective to learn how to use different moves in action in a fight for self defense.

If the attacker attacks you, and you kick his leg, make some damage, you will think twice to make his next move. When you strike and hurt his hands, he is not likely to punch you or he is not in a position to attack you with his hands.

You may like it or not, but that's the truth. Learning how to strike is very important when it comes to self defense. Spend time to learn martial arts and be prepared to defend yourself. When you learn martial arts, it will make you healthy and fit. There are many benefits to learning martial arts. And it is one of them.
