What's new in 2.2.3
Changelog is almost identical with Android of course some performance tweaks for iOS and bug fixes only related iOS users.

In November, we have released migration update that would migrate data within device into new local database scheme. It was designed so that we could use different db engine which supports Hermes engine. What we learned is that Hermes engine improves performance of application greatly so we wanted to utilize new technology. This is just a note: If you encounter any issues updating from 2.2.2 to 2.2.3, our suggestion is to wipe app data and start fresh (make sure you have backup of your password and keys).

Why only 1k+ downloads on Google play Store?

that's because few months back we deprecated Legacy version and introduced v2 and this version is slowly getting adopted, now that we removed legacy version from PlayStore.
It's a bit slow on my side, but works now!
Slowness is being investigated, we think Google play might have discarded some libraries when generating APK from our app bundle. Some people reported APK link from github worked better for them because it includes everything and that's why bit bigger in size. We will push minor update next week after thorough test and fix.
I have already updated my version of esteemapp. It is excellent and in addition to being easy and practical the account @esteem supports the posts that publish with this app.
Where do you find the referral links and stats?
We will post about details of referrals soon. Your referral code is your username, during signup, user should define who referred them. System is in place, we just will iterate to improve user facing aspects..
I just updated mine now and gosh its so smooth i love it! The new UI takes getting used to but its pretty slick

You should be logged in with Active private key for token related transactions. Boost and Promote is transfer operation just like steem transfer which requires active key or master key to be logged in with. Logout and try login with those and try again. Let us know if it works!

I am currently using eSteem Surfer 2.2.2 on Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS.
What is the "Free ESTM spinner"? Will this be built into the desktop version of eSteem?
2.2.3 release for Surfer is also ready. We should be ready for releasing in next couple weeks. Free ESTM spinner is neat gamification we announced couple month ago, is only available on mobile app currently.

@esteemapp There is a wierd bug on android where when you load up the app after pressing the back button it sort of hangs at the logo screen. You have to clear cache for it to load back up.
So it goes back to logo screen after feed is visible?
Yes. Here is clip of it. You will notice the first time I open the app it loads up okay. I press back to leave the app so it is still running in the background. I try to open it again but it doesn't leave the logo screen.
I then clear it from background running apps and try again and it loads okay.

The new editor is great, but I find I cannot trust it to automatically save if I switch apps (iOS). I have to remember to press the Save ( 💾 ) icon or else it will forget what I type. Makes me wonder what will happen if I get a phone call while I'm drafting a post.

Thanks! We think with multi-token and community support, it will be one of the great products to get people onboarded, we do have a lot to do with educated onboarding screens, but path and vision is laid out, we just walk through it step by step.
