Whilst a third place finish would be considered a decent result - even as far back as he was behind the winner, it doesn't help in our quest for winners with this strategy. perhaps Fakir does need the longer trip, or maybe the breathing op before his last outing hasbn't had the desired effect. Either way yesterday's performance was disappointing to say the least. Jumped the first obstacle poorly and that set him back considerably, and relegated to last place as the set off on the final circuit. Mad up ground and regained third place on the leaders with around 4 fences to jump, and pushed on with 3 to go, but was soon outpaced finishing 14.25 lengths behind Stormin Crossgales, thh eventual winner.
