Basketball Stars – Super Fun and Addictive Basketball Game...
Basketball has always been one of those sports that I have always wished I knew how to play… Even though I’m not really a pro at basketball, it is still one of my favourite sports like volleyball, tennis, badminton and mostly indoor sports. Back in the days, I used to play basketball a lot with friends, but I wasn’t really good at it because for me, it required a lot of practice and skills to be able to do anything meaningful when it comes to basketball. Scoring the ball in the basket is one of the most difficult things to do in this sport, your accuracy needs to be on point and you need to develop the skills to know how to aim accurately. Compared to other sports, basketball seems to be one of the most difficult to learn especially for new players. That is where video gaming comes into play… great for people like me who loves basketball but just can’t be good at it to play it at a reasonable level.
When it comes to basketball games, there are a good number of top basketball games most especially on high-end consoles… My first basketball game experience back then was on my 16bit sega mega drive 2 console and while it wasn’t the greatest, it was really fun to play… Now a lot has changed as far as sport games are concerned and basketball is no different. Basketball games now on high-end consoles and pc has gotten so advanced that it has grown to become one of the top sports games. I’m not the one that will come out and say a lot of great things about basketball games because I haven’t played a lot of it… however, the experiences I’ve gotten so far from the ones I’ve played have been really good. It is one of the top and most popular sports so it is expected for the game to be top notch.
Basketball stars is an amazing pure multiplayer basketball type game but on mobile. I can comfortably say that this is the best basketball game I’ve played on mobile so far. The interesting thing about this game is that it is not like the regular basketball game with set of teams, this game is a whole lot different in terms of gameplay… Instead of team vs team like regular basketball game, it uses bits and elements of the regular basketball game but with its own unique flavor. This game is feature-rich and comes with fun game modes. One of the things I like about the game is how easy it is to pick up and play compared to the regular basketball game. While there is still some element of difficulty in the game, in fact, as you climb higher in rank, you get to play against more difficult opponents which obviously means that you will become even more difficult to win playing against opponents that are higher in rank. The graphics of this game is one of the best I have seen on mobile. The characters looks high quality. The player animation is top quality as well. The overall look and feel of the game is top notch for a mobile game. The sounds of the game is very good as well and for me, the both add to the overall fun gaming experience.
The gameplay of this game is super fun and addictive… It is one of the reasons why the game is very successful in terms of number of downloads. This game is basically one of the best well-made sports games that just feels right in all aspects. The game mechanics is awesome and the overall gaming experience is superb in my opinion. Compared to the regular basketball game, the gameplay of this game is a lot different even though it still utilizes the basics play of basketball. The gameplay is purely multiplayer… you need internet connection to play against other opponents across the world. Being purely multiplayer mode means that there is no single player mode at least for now and only training allows you to play alone. Instead of teams, you play as a single player in a head-to-head match against any opponent selected automatically from its number of users across the world.
The game comes with 3 different game modes – Career, Attack-Defender and Shooting Race (which is my favorite)… Depending on the game mode you choose, the gameplay is different and super fun. For me, my favourite is the Shooting race mode which is what I play mostly. The Career mode is basically you as the player playing through different levels… and your goal is to complete each stage as you progress through the stages. This mode also contains the Attacker-Defender and Shooting race modes so it is your choice to choose which one you want to play in career mode… depending on the one you choose to play, you will start at the lowest court which is known as underdogs with the lowest entry in-game fee. Each modes inside the career mode is basically the same gameplay as the main standalone modes…
The next game mode is the Attacker-Defender mode… in this mode, you are in a head-to-head battle against your online opponent facing each other… when it is your turn to have the ball, your aim is to try to find ways to outscore your opponent. You do this by putting the ball in the basket. You create space for yourself by tricking your opponent and trying to avoid your opponent from blocking your shots or stealing the ball from you. The aim of your opponent in this mode is to stop you from scoring the ball in the basket either by blocking your shots or stealing the ball away from you and vice versa… you do the same as well when your opponent has the ball… The last game mode is the Shooting race – this is my favourite game mode among the two… I didn’t include the career mode because the career mode also has both game modes and depending on the mood at that particular time, I enjoy playing the shooting race in career mode instead of the standalone shooting race mode.
The shooting race mode is basically a race against time. You and your opponent try to score as many points as possible before the time runs out. In other words, your aim is to continue throwing the ball using the right amount of power to score the ball in the basket as many times until the time runs out. Each shot goes inside the basket scores you points and depending on the accuracy, the points earned varies. The more pinpoint accurate your shot is, the more points you earn… and at the end of the race or once the time runs out, the player with the most points wins. This is mode is my favorite and the most fun for me. I find this game very addictive and I’m pretty sure anyone who has played this game will say how addictive the gameplay is. For me, this game is without doubt the best basketball type game I’ve played on mobile so far. So awesome and fun to play and enjoy.
