When it comes to gaming, the esports genre occupy a significant portion. Whether it is solely sport games or games under multiple genres like esports/first-person shooter etc, the esports genre has come to stay and is growing at a massive rate. We have seen some really incredible titles under the esports genre and right now, it is almost impossible to mention the top games without including at least a game that falls under the category of esports… I mean it is literally impossible. Esports is a huge part of my gaming history and it was one of the first games I played back in the days when I first began my gaming journey. Like I told already, the Sega mega drive 2 was the first ever console I owned and the first games I played on it was all esports games, the obvious one which is mortal kombat, and some sports games.

The eSports genre has grown a lot since and has become one of the most popular and one of the most played video game genres at the moment. When you talk of esports games, there are a huge number of top titles released and I have to say, a lot of the esports games I’ve played so far have been super amazing and fun. There are so many games with multiple genres in the esports catergory… games like first-person shooter, third-person shooter, Battle Royale, MOBA etc all fall into the category of esports making esports one of the few video game genres that is super vast. Like I said above, it is not possible to mention top games presently without including at least one game that fall under the esport category… that is how amazing some of the esports games are. For me, esports games are my main gaming genres which definitely means that they are my favourite video gaming genre. As always, the esports genre will continue to improve, grow and become better and better… at the moment, we are already seeing some fabulous esports titles which is great.

When it comes to esports, there are a lot of reasons why esports are my favourite gaming genre but the main reasons is the multiplayer mode and the highly competitive nature of esports… it wouldn’t be called esports if there was no competition… so for me, the competition and multiplayer gameplays are the key reasons why esports are my favourite gaming genre. Like I’ve already talked about in some of my previous posts, I am not really a fan of single player games except for few action-adventure games, however, I’m more the competitive side of gaming. Playing against real humans is what I find appealing and amazing…. and for me, as far as gaming is concerned, competition brings excitements. The thoughts of having to play against a friend or some random persons online is what makes games like this so much fun and exciting to play.

Halo, a very popular esports game franchise that has made a name for itself as one of the top esports games these past few years. The Halo series has produced some really amazing releases, making it one of the most popular games in recent times. As far as first-person shooter is concerned, there are not that many games that can compare to Halo when it comes to multiplayer gameplay modes. At the moment, there hasn’t been any recent halo release yet, but we all hope that halo 6 will be released soon. Some sources have made it known that halo 6 is going to be released before the end of this year, so fingers crossed.

Halo 5: Guardians is the most recent release in the halo series, it is basically a first-person shooter with multiplayer and single player modes. I’m pretty sure you can already guess why halo 5 is in my list of favorite games. If you guessed its multiplayer mode then you are abosultely correct. Halo 5: Guardians has one of the best multiplayer modes out there especially during the time it was released… the game is packed with a lot of amazing features, making one of the top feature-rich games few years ago. Aside the multiplayer mode, the gameplay of this game is what makes it so much fun and exciting to play… Anyone who has played any of the halo release will tell you how amazing this release is. It is much improved game compared to its predecessors. I like this game a lot and find it really amazing and fun to play, there are some gamers who will have different opinions about the game… but one thing is certain, the game is definitely an enjoyable multiplayer first-person video game.

The single player mode in this game is pretty cool in my opinion, but for me, I’m more of a multiplayer gamer. There are quite a lot of things that I find amazing about this game… the gameplay is definitely one of them… the game mechanics is really good and much improved compared to some of the previous releases. If you love games with hardcore, high intensity action then you will most likely have fun with halo 5 as this release is all about momentum with some really cool new ideas. The storyline of this game is one of its strong assets and what makes it such an enjoyable game to play. When you first play halo 5 guardians especially coming from previous halo releases, you will immediately notice some really cool changes… this release introduces new things like new player movement, open level design, and some really awesome innovations in its multiplayer mode which combines to give the player a great gaming experience. Since this isn’t a review post, I wouldn’t be going deep into the details of the gameplay and the features of the game as that is beyond the scope of this game and if I begin to pour out all the awesomeness and amazing things about the game, then I don’t think this post will contain all of that…lol… that is how feature packed and amazing this game is.

As always, you can’t talk about a game of this caliber without talking about the graphics and other visual elements of the game… Halo 5 guardians has one of the best graphics out there and even though the game was released few years ago, the graphics still holds up today and can still go toe to toes against some of the recently released games. The details in the characters and environments is outstanding in my opinion. Another cool thing i like about this game is the visual effects and the visual elements of the game… super amazing. The sound design is also one of its pros as well… the attention to details in the sound design improves the overall gaming experience by a great deal. Above all, Halo 5 guardians is a solid first-person shooter game that is really fun and exciting to play… While we await the release of the new halo game, halo 5 will always remain one of the best games to be made and for me, it is definitely up there in my list of favorite esports first person shooter games.
