Star Wars 1313

The saga around the development of Star Wars 1313 has been long and problematic since LucasArts revealed the game at E3 2012. The team planned to make a stark, mature version of the bowels of the Star Wars universe. However, Disney bought the franchise property and canceled the game.

Before Star Wars 1313 was officially canceled, players were rumored to be in the shoes of Boba Fett, the most famous bounty hunter in the galaxy. Thus, a recently leaked image seems to suggest that, in fact, that would be the case.

LifeByTheSword, a user on Reddit, shared the image on Reddit. It's unclear where the image originated from, but what it shows looks great. However, it is difficult to be sure that the character in the image is Boba Fett. That being said, he is certainly someone who is wearing manororic armor, which definitely gives the rumors a little more credibility.

You will also notice that the user interface shows us a gun and what appears to be some kind of flamethrower. In that sense, it's hard to imagine anyone other than a bounty hunter working with that type of arsenal.

Although seeing Boba Fett in the game is certainly cool, the city skyline, presumably Coruscant, is what makes us feel so sad knowing that this game never saw the light of day.

Outside of Lego Star Wars games, I have not been able to visit the Imperial Center in other games. With a population that exceeds trillion, the potential of an intricate society, full of fun characters, is incredible. Mixed with a more mature vision, it's easy to imagine how interesting that scenario would be for any Star Wars game.

Unfortunately, the promising Star Wars 1313 will never come to fruition, but its concepts could well be used for some future franchise game.
