Star Wars: Squadrons unveils trailer

As I already told you in this post, well in Star Wars: Squadrons, players will be able to holster their Starfighter pilot helmets, entering the cabins of these iconic ships of the fleets of the New Republic and the Imperial fleet, and design skirmish with their squadrons in the meeting room before embarking on space battles across the galaxy. Players will engage in strategic 5v5 multiplayer space battles aiming to demolish the opposing flagship in Fleet Battle mode, and experience the thrill of first-person multiplayer combat as they work with their squadron to defeat as many opponents as as possible in Skirmish mode. Pilots will be able to succeed as a team by adjusting the composition of their squads and adapting their style of play, crushing their opponents and completing objectives in well-known places and enclaves never seen before, such as the gas giant of Yavin Prime and the destroyed moon of Galitan.

Star Wars: Squadrons will also feature a single-player story mode that will bring to life the events after the Battle of Endor, when the Rebel Alliance managed to destroy the second Death Star. Throughout this story, players will learn the meaning of becoming a star pilot as they battle on both alternate sides through the story of two customizable pilots: one serving in the heroic New Republic Vanguard Squadron and another fighting alongside the fearsome Titan Squadron of the Galactic Empire. This authentic story features a diverse cast of original characters, as well as some of familiar faces in the Star Wars galaxy.

Regarding its launch, Stars Wars: Squadron has confirmed that it will arrive on PS4, Xbox One and PC next October 2 with a price of about 40$. In addition, the work will be compatible with virtual reality and can be enjoyed on virtual reality devices for PCs compatible with Steam as well as PSVR. There will also be full cross play between all versions of the title.

Really hoping this plays more like the X-Wing/Tie-Fighter games of old than the Battlefront games...

I have not bought a new PC game since...oh, I think Star Wars Galaxies. I'm more into retrogaming. But if this is good, I will buy this one.
