A new yet unannounced Star Wars video game has appeared on the cover of the Microsoft Store and has not yet - as of this writing - not been removed by the company from the web. This is Star Wars: Squadrons, a title that clearly looks like a spaceship-style piloting game, perhaps from what Star Wars: Rogue Squadron was proposing.

Below we share the tweet for which the company has set the date for the first trailer for Star Wars: Squadrons:

Star Wars: Squadrons could be related to Project Maverick, a title that leaked last March on the PS Store and that I learned shortly after that it was being developed by EA Motive. If it is the same project, I am talking about that Star Wars: Squadrons will be a bet for multiplayer although it will stand out, above all, for being a more experimental and smaller title than we are used to seeing Electronic Arts.

Based on what I have been able to know during the last hours, Star Wars: Squadrons will be an aviation title in which war will prevail. In this sense, players will find two main modalities: one that emphasizes a single-player campaign, and another in which the multiplayer component will go into action. Also, the title is expected to go on sale during a date to be determined in the fall of 2020 for both consoles and PC.

May the force be with you
